Distant descendants of the humble emu, crushbills are large, aggressive omnivores that will eat practically anything. Extremely powerful bills make them exceptionally efficient scavengers, for they can crack open and consume even bones, whilst their long muscular legs enable them to pursue and actively hunt large prey as well, such as wallabies. Equally content to dine on vegetarian fare, that bill is just as useful for crushing coconuts as skulls.
