Following a drawing of his very closely, this is a giant herbivorous species of echidna that evolves in isolation on a seed planet without other animal competitors. It is as large as an elephant and has lost its spines due to lack of predators.

If by 'species' you mean others of their kind... Then no, I don't think so. This giant Echidna-descendant could probably share niches with more cursorial forms, and the oceans may well be filled with primitive crustaceans that fill the same niches as krill and copepods, with aquatic dolphin-like echidna descendants hanging around as well, I'd imagine.

yeah, i mean it would be hard to belive that these would be the only animals, probably this world would e similar to Serina except of canaries it would be Echidnas
