Finally, I've shopped my Okami comic into almost looking like a Japanese brush painting. Notice that I was very rushed and not particularly concerned that brush painting has never looked that regular.

I did try some brush painting, but it all sucked. Actually, I had one picture that didn't, but I accidentally brushed too much black on one part and, in an attempt to get it off, ripped it. It's really too bad -- I loved that picture.

But I found a nice brush under Pen Pressure that works great for me, so I feel good. I do worry that the font looks stupid, though.....

Notice that it's a human-looking goddess form of Amaterasu, rather than a goddess-possessing-a-male-wolf-statue form. That always confused me: in the wolf form, is she female or male? I mean, sure, the wolf isn't anatomically correct in the game, but it's still Shiranui's body, which is male.

I didn't draw Waka pretty enough. That really sucks. I like Amaterasu's kimono, liner, obi, and obi scarf fabrics, though. Especially the kimono and obi, though the liner and obi scarf really pull the look together. And I had fun making the markings on the human form.

I like Issun cutting into Amaterasu's thoughts. I was going to draw a distressed Sakuya in the corner, but she would have gone right where Amaterasu's thought bubble is.

For those of you who don't understand, Waka is taking advantage of Amaterasu's maternal instincts. As our mother, she has great feelings for us, so however stern she may try to be, she can't resist saving us when Waka paints such a vivid picture of her innocent children lost and suffering.

And yes, I know I fail at drawing wolves. Why do you think I made a comic?
