Hey hey!So I received another batch of photos from my first con of the year, Geek-It, and I LOVE THEM!
They're more like portrait shots (instead of "in-context" photos like I usually try to do) but they came out so nicely, so I have to share them anyway!
I wish I had a Sherry so that title would make more sense, but alas...I do have some Claire/Ada pics coming up soon though!
And next month, I have a planned shoot with a friend who'll cosplay as Leon, so I am very excited about this!
(buuut next year, I plan to go to Katsucon and I'll be rooming with a friend who cosplays Sherry, so there's bound to be some Claire/Sherry pics next year

I have Tumblr but I barely go on it since the NSFW ban and my Twitter doesn't have any cosplayers in my feed really so DA is the only place I'm exposed to them. Plus I only watch a very few cosplayers so it all narrows it down to you being the only one I've seen doing RE2 Remake Claire

I think besides you I follow maybe two other semi active cosplayers. Everyone else seems to have abandoned their DA Account or went to other sites.
The only weird content I keep seeing pop up is a lot of fetish art with inflation all of a sudden. I don't know how this suddenly became popular but it's just as strange to me as foot fetish stuff. I don't see the appeal at all.

Yeah, can't really blame them. The "mood" on DA has definitely changed. I also thought about leaving but I know that some people only follow my work here and I don't want to leave them out
Some artists that I've been following forever are also still posting from times to times, so...
I've seen inflation for a long time, but yeah, maybe not as much. And I'm with you: I have no idea why it's appealing to some people. What appals me is the sheer amount of foot fetish stuff now. It's like a common thing now and people aren't afraid to request cosplay pics or fanart about that and it just irks me. And I've actually seen cosplayers doing it now just to be more popular, ughh....

I think for a lot of them left DA because of the weird censorship rules and how they changed the process of handling art theft and trolls. Also I notice a lot of the older accounts I watched became abandoned as soon as DA announced it was going to force this Eclipse thing on us eventually even though it's largely still a buggy mess they're constantly fixing.
I also noticed since Tumblr went all in with that ridiculous NSFW ban or whatever the fuck it is that site's like a friggin ghost town and everyone went to Twitter because they still allow NSFW sort of stuff.
I don't see myself leaving here since I have too much wrapped into my page at this point. Besides I've noticed a real increase in new members and watchers in the past six months so maybe it's a sign the DA isn't being abandoned like Tumblr was.
The inflation thing is sort of new to me and it was only recently I saw it pop up more and more on the pages I was visiting. Still not sure why so many follow me since I don't do that kind of work anyway.

That's kind of sad. I mean I admit I knew drawing nudity would get me a quick influx of watchers when I first started on here but I didn't do it to pander to one specific fetish group on purpose.
Oh btw the newest ones I've been attracting are these decapitation fetishists. I did a mortal kombat gift art years ago for a friend where Meleena is holding Kitana's severed head on her sai and now all of a sudden all these guys with this fetish are faving the shit out of it. Like I don't see how that's sexual at all. It seems like something a serial killer would jack off to

Yeeep. I was sometimes using Tumblr but that platform didn't work for me. My posts were barely liked or shared. I felt like nobody cared there. I was mostly using it to check other people's stuff. But now with the ban, I no longer check/use it.
Yeah, same. I do get a lot of new watchers, it's crazy. But these people are silent. They don't comment on my stuff, so I don't know what to think of it. I'd rather have fewer watchers who actually have an interest in what I do, than 1,000 silent watchers.

It's just weird. I don't really like it. It's like for every positive it has there are a dozen bugs that drag it down. Like all they had to do was make this site more customizeable and offer a dark mode and it would have been fine. This Eclipse seems more geared towards a phone app than a regular website.
I notice more and more people on Tumblr are finding ways around the ban and the NSFW stuff is making a comeback. From what I read Verizon or whoever owns Tumblr is trying to unload it now because since the ban they lost millions of dollars in revenue from the site. Last I read Porn Hub was looking into buying it and lifting the NSFW ban.
Yeah it's about the same with me. Most of them don't comment or I get one word comments which I think is okay but I still would rather someone comments on what they like specifically or disliked or whatever.
I try and comment when I favorite anything but some weeks I get so drowned in deviations I just have to fave and run because it would take me all weekend to comment on all of them.
I've never had that particular fetish so I have no idea what the reaction would be.
I like body horror for the weird ass horror aspect of it. Like I never watched John Carpenter's The Thing and thought, "Oh wow that's so fucking hot!"

It can get tiresome. Also, you are certain to miss something, since you can't pay equal attention to every single one.
Not to mention, unless you stay prolific as the cosplayer, you will be doomed to long rest periods between shoots.
