But I'm also hoping to see Steve in that game, there are so many similarities to Code:Veronica....from the gameplay video (demo at the Tokyo Game Show) Claire actually quotes Steve ("it's more reliable than any person" - speaking about a gun) sooo....I don't want to be too hopeful, but damn....Claire has at least to mention Steve in the game at some point.

Doesn't sound like we'll have long to wait reading up on it. I tend to be cautiously optimistic with games these days. I have so many I've still not finished I don't necessarily need to buy them when they're new, but that said given I'm actually semi-involved in the fan-scene for Resi it's harder to dodge spoilers. With stuff like RE5 (which I own but still haven't managed to bring myself to play (I got it for £2 in an Xmas sale in a 'I wouldn't mind playing it myself to make my own opinion up' fashion)) or RE6 I've not really given a crap, and Revelations although I'm still working on completing it, it's a bit of a sleeper so there isn't a lot of fan stuff for it atm, it seems to be the current-gen RE Zero, but I'd like to play Revs 2 spoiler free so we'll see...we'll see xDD.

I'm very involved in the fandom so I'm really vulnerable to spoilers XD I'm getting this game (or first episode...) day one for sure! (and I haven't played RE5 yet....can't bring myself to....but I completed RE6 in no time)

Ah cool. Tbh I'll probs wait until it's either in the Steam sale if it gets a PC release, or buy the physical on 360 if it gets put out on the old girl lol.

I'm intrigued by The Evil Within too, but nobody's put out system reqs on it (don't have an XBone or a PS4 so it's PC all the way unless stuff goes 360 atm) so dunno if I can buy it or not.

I kind of skirt a lot of fandoms so normally I can control spoilerage lol. But yes can imagine it's a bit of a nightmare for you ;_;.

I couldn't stand RE6. It did my head in. Zombies with guns man. Zombies with guns. And I can't really take any game that has an objective called 'Kill possessed Derek' seriously. It's not quite as bad as Nanobreaker's boss 'Keith' mind. Makes me wonder how many cool sounding Japanese names are actually like calling someone Fred or Bill.

Well then you're just naturally in good shape then xD. Or you're so excited by new Claire shenanigans afoot that you're glowing with fandom xDD.

Oh yeah, they announced it for PS3 and 360 too. So no worries for that. I think I'll get it on PS4 just because I have it XD

My friend told me that it's exactly like RE4 but with a different story and characters....which makes me really mad/sad because I wanted to try that game so much, and I just hated RE4. It has the same mechanics, the same gameplay, the same enemies (chainsaw guy), the same frustrating deaths, one-hit kill enemies, etc. So yeah....I'm really not sure about it at this point....maybe I'll just save money and watch a let's play of it >>

Yeah XD I'm almost to the point of blacklisting the Revelations 2 tag on tumblr because they're been releasing more gameplay videos and people talk about the comments Claire and Moira say and they also post gifs of the gameplay, things I'd rather find out myself when I play, you know.

Well, it's a bit like the monks with rocket launchers in RE4. I lost my shit at that point XD but yeah, I understand. I think I overlooked all the crazy stuff in RE6 cuz for once Leon looked decent and Ada was doing her badass stuff like always (and I kinda ship them...). But yeah, RE6 was a big joke, a big B-movie but I found it entertaining (except the part with Chris, fuck that shit lol ) I played it, not sure if I would replay it though. And let's not talk about Jake...well, if he weren't Wesker's biological son, I would have liked the character I think, but he was pretty 2-D to me, like Sherry....

I would say I'm glowing with fandom! XD

I'm a late adopter with consoles so it'll probably be 360 or PC for me I'd guess. I just hope it doesn't end up like Halo where 4 came out on the 360 but 5 and 6 that finish the trilogy are gonna be XBone exclusives <_<. Not that I've played 4 yet but still. That's largely why I haven't (that and the fact that Halo 2 and 3 were bollocks. I love the first one and ODST but 2 and 3 blaaargh...I digress lmao).

Oh seriously? That sucks! I agree RE4 was a serious letdown. I did finish it and I wouldn't say I hated it, but even then it was a poor game from a gameplay standpoint. If you haven't played it already, I would heavily recommend Cold Fear on PS2 or XBox, it's like the game RE4 should have been. It has very similar mechanics but a completely original setting and story and everything RE4 did wrong Cold Fear does right (for instance Cold Fear like RE4 demands headshots for quick kills, but when a creature goes down you can stomp it's head before it gets back up again which makes life easier for those of us who aren't sharpshooters.) I think personally though I feel like RE4 ruined survival horror in a great many ways. It both swung the balance away from horror and exploration, and really watered down the franchise.

Well yeah, I think that's a big deal with horror titles, the less you know the better. I haven't even watched the trailer. And I probably won't.

I think I lost my shit with the new core RE games at the bit on RE5 with the fucking bike riding zombies. That was my cut off point. Like you have just done in my enthusiasm for this area of this franchise lol. I was long gone by the time 6 hit tbh but I was briefly intrigued when the trailers hit. It looked like it would fix the series from the trailer but then I actually played it and it just felt like a poor man's Gears of War. It felt like some shitty movie license but without a movie attached to it.

Haha well glow away. I think there is definitely something fresh and energetic about your new pics atm. Maybe it's just the excitement of being involved and sharing something cool! I always do my best work when I'm excited and inspired

Hmmm, yeah I understand. (lol it's funny, I got the Master Chief collection for my boyfriend, we plan on playing all of them together. He also said that 2 and 3 were meeeeh XD I'll give you my opinion once I play them. I did play the first game with him and I liked it)

Yeah, and I watched a Let's Play of The Evil Within in the end, and boy, was I right to not buy it! I would have hated playing it @__@
Oh! I got Cold Fear a while ago for a cheap price, but I haven't played it yet XD 
And yes, I feel the same about RE4...people who didn't like the original REs found it to be a masterpiece and in their mind, it's what a survival horror game should be...ughhh...in my group of friends, there's this guy who always teases me by saying how RE4 is the best RE ever and me and my friends just look at him and roll our eyes XD

I'm more or less on Tumblr these days, and I have to admit that haven't seen much....maybe there's no new content, or people just don't post about it. Good for me anyway!
I did that for RE6 and I think I got to enjoy the game a lot more than if I had watched the trailers and gameplay videos.

And yes me too. I think they will have to play some "survival game" while the villain is watching. The bracelet seems to serve as a transmitter with which they can hear the villain. And it probably has other purposes.

I think it's the lack of makeup (she usually has a bit more eyeliner) and her nose is different.

Yeah exactly...and she pretty much lost all the innocence she could have had in RE2 and CV. 

Yeah XD not a lot of people complained about Chris or Leon getting older. But because Claire is a girl, she has to look like she's still 19? That's stupid.
