During our honeymoon we visited Balfour Castle on the island of Shapinsay in Orkney, Scotland. As we walked through a corridor I spied this staircase and was struck by the softness of the colors and also the way that the light seemed to beckon from above, urging me to climb...

I immediately found myself meditating on livng and walking in the light, how even though a life full of light may seem simplistic and "soft" (thus wimpy, easy) on the outside, it's always a steep climb just the same. In other words: A life lived in the light is not as easy or simplistic as it seems!
