I think this is all im gonna do to this image. Added a lil more detail and a title. I was particularly happy with how the text effects came out =]-------------------------
Ok ok.. so some of you dont like the text. I'll UL another w/o text tongiht =]

Heh... well it seems some of you are upset /w how many favs this got. Dont get on me about it. I will say, this was simply a quick experiment on things... hence the name 'absperiment'. Stop yellin at me cause other people like it

I like the typography. The glow look goes well with the glow immenating from the render. The render itself is very cool, nice soft curves and many dynamic folds and directions. The wireframe works very well as detail work. The light ray is very cool also, the water texture was a great choice. It gives the ray a feeling of movement. The colors are great and there is a nice range of contrasting tones and shades. Great work!

Wow.. I'd say something about endregan if I were you.. His/her last comment was completely uncalled for..
Now, whether or not this took ages to complete or not doesn't matter..
It's not a bunch of 3D spikes randomly thrown all over a large wallpaper in the same colors as the last 500 wallpapers submitted.. That's what makes this A great wallpaper.. It's taking a step back from the trendy wallpapers and actually going for something that looks decent rather than seeing how many 3D objects you can shove into one wallpaper..
As far as the text goes, it looks great.. You made it fit this wallpaper as best as one could, but it just doesn't look like this wall was meant to have text
Oh and the bitching about the amount of favorites? Jealousy sucks, doesn't it?

main image is quite nice, but the overall form is not that special?
u could do withouht the refelcted image to the left as it doesnt add to the image. Perhaps sum typography to give the piece more structure as well.

Yep, agree with the others: it maybe didn't take hours to make but.. That's art to me! It's not about the time taken but how it looks. And the thing that "hit's" me is the gauzy grid, nice!
Maybe not yet a +fav level to me, but keep practising, i like the consept

It's all in how you arrange and compose it. Anybody can make these shapes, but people who are experts in this field know how to make the best effect with a simple 3D shape. Very nice.

why so man favs....the only kinda good part is the bottom right, even then its not that good. wtf?! am i the only one who utterly dislikes this? looks like it took less than an hour..for shame man!

errr....is it just me or is this piece lacking something that ruins the whole image? the concept is good but i just dont like this!
too plain, looks pooly arranged, no depth, lack of composition and the typo sucks.
i dunno, i just dont like this. lack of effort/time maybe..?

I don't think I like it....it's simply some shapes with light beam, and the typo isn't worked out...I guess you have to spend more time and effort to elaborate this...this is more like a start, but not the final...

Cool work, but I think you overdid the wireframes. The foreground wireframe blending is nice, but you should really take them outta the bg, and replace them with something else.

Yeah this is good work. I love the volcano'ish look to it with the hot molten lava bursting out. The work grids on the rendered shapes look nice as well, especially where they slowly become more solid from bottom up.
The only downside is the text. It looks good but it's positioned badly. Hehehe good old photoshop fixes that up though.
