Easiest way to figure out your environment is to start it with basic rough shapes first. Like just cubes and cylinders. Make the biggest shapes first. This will help define the perspective for that scene. Then with a new paper on top, trace out the shapes but this time with the details you need to make it look like an environment. While making the little details like windows, refer to the cubes in the rough sketch for perspective.
