And now for something totally different!

Little known fact about me: I love shiny cars. Growing up, I'd grab the car magazine in the doctor's office and exclaim over the gorgeous cars right along with my brothers. To this day my heart melts when I see a Corvette - not the newfangled things, but the old ones with all the delicious hood contours.

It turns out that a local diner has a car show every weekend, and OH MAN the beautiful, beautiful cars that come! There were a ton of Bel Airs and Fairlanes, I was really surprised to see so many. And then this car pulled in. An epic 1930s Ford with the most ridiculous engine EVAR and with a flame paintjob. The purist in me flinched while the rest of me squee'd over the shiny.

The picture was taken with the owner's permission, and with my shiny new Nikon D2x. First shoot with the new camera - success!

Oh, and the photo is called Squiggly because that was the name inscripted on the side of the car.
