Build by the InterGalactic Banking Clan and Techno Union, for the Hyper-Communications Cartel made up by their two companies/ conglomerates, the Munificent Class Surveillance Frigate (MCSF), was an alteration of the more common Banking Clan Frigate. It was the Reconnaissance model of the Munificent Class Star Frigate, equipped with modern scanning devices, as well as listening and communication arrays, like the Lucrehulk Signal Amplifier Dish and served with their surveillance system both to keep track of Republic and later Imperial ship movements, supply lines, as well as spread their own CIS Shadowfeed HoloNet version with pro-Seperatist Alliance propaganda of the Confederacy of Independence Systems deep behind enemy lines. The first blue and gray ship of this new class was the Crusader, named after Pius Dea Crusade, as it mainly operated in areas of the former First Crusade against the Hutts in 11,965 BBY, Third Crusade against the Hutts in 11,939 BBY, Fourth Crusade against the Hutts in 11,920 BBY, Great Northern Crusade (Seventh Crusade) against the Iridonians of 11,884 BBY, Crusade of the Wilds (Tenth Crusade) of 11,791 BBY, Twelfth Crusade against Zarracines and Teirasans of 11,660 BBY, Fifteenth Crusade against the Baragwin of 11,591 BBY, wenty-third Crusade against Bothans and Lanniks in 11,198 BBY, Thirty-fourth Crusade against the Hutts in 11,057 BBY and only later even in the during the Pias Pius Dea Crusade Inquisition plagued Core and Colonies. Like the Confederacy of Independent Systems renamed the Pius Dea Crusade Ord first half of the name of worlds under their control into CIS, or Cis once they fell under Separatist hands and control to revision human anti-alien species history, the Munificent Class Surveillance Frigate, became also known to the Republic/ Empire as the Munificent Class Propaganda Frigate (MCPF) as in their views it spread anti-Galactic Core Worlds and anti-Humanocentrist Propaganda beside regular pro-alien, pro-Seperatist and pro-Confederate CIS Propaganda as a whole. Because of that they needed immensely powerful surveillance and communication devices, which also came with lower overall weaponry numbers and power output, as well as fewer hull shielding to compensate for that.

Serving as long as possible behind enemy frontlines, it was common for these ships to be mostly, if not completely manned by Battle Droids, or sometimes Cyborg Troopers were the most common crews. Because they operated so far behind enemy lines, but had so advanced scanners and amplifyers for their own HoloNet Communications, these ships were often capable of viewing enemy scout fleets searching for them long before those could find them. The Republic Intelligence/ later Imperial Intelligence partially managed to make up for that by tracking back their CIS Shadowfeed HoloNet version and then using this feet to find the ship sending it out and ambushing it. Another relyable option was to use Jedi Starfighters as scouts, who searched for the unnatural ship object with the living Force in places were they should not sense anything, then jump to the location to confirm the ships there, shortly followed by allied starships to engage with it, while the Jedi Starfighter attempted to destroy their engines, so they could not leave. The already thinly spread Jedi numbers however made this method not less-reliable, but overall much less common to be frequently used, even if it was an important task in the overall war-effort in general. In the later Outer Rim Sieges some of this ships even served for Droid Control Ships for masses of reactivated OOM-series serving as special infantry for the Separatists instead of regular B-1 Battle Droids. This way even if their pirpose of spying on the Republic/ Empire and infiltrating it with their own CIS Shadowfeed HoloNet version was no longer as important they still filled a vital role inside the Confederate Alliance, the Separatist Confederacy of Independent Systems. Similar to the Munificent-class Star Frigate and it’s upgrades, the Munificent-class Super Star Frigate and the Munificent-class Star Ultra Frigate, the Munificent Class Surveillance Frigate possessed better armored and with anti-bomber and anti-fighter weaponry equipped versions, the Munificent Class Super Surveillance Frigate (serving in most of the Rim) and the Munificent Class Ultra Surveillance Frigate (serving even in the Colonies and Core Worlds).
