I really like the shallow depth of field here!

It's pretty awesome how much the wing stands out and how much clarity there is for the wing to be captured with such great depth and focus.

However, I do feel it's a shame that there is quite a bit of noise there... though it does add more texture to the background and such, I suppose.

The colours are lovely, anyway, and I like how it feels as if you've rotated this, or maybe not.. either way, I like the portrait format and how there appears to be a great variety of colours in the background to make it more interesting and engaging overall.

I feel that you could have moved the camera higher... or rather, allowed more into the frame as it feels a bit too tight, but other than that, it's not bad.

wow thank you this was a dead bumble on my sidewalk one morning i love the background colors, but i do dislike the noise you pointed out; i think it might be bc i used a magnifying glass to cheat lol i only have a crap point and shoot, and the macro wasn't enough to make me happy so i used a magnifying glass to get in there as much as possible, the background is actually glare off wet grass and of all things, a teal car parked in the street. i did rotate the photo, it felt weird on my eyes left turned the way i took it, if that makes any sense. thank you kindly for taking the time to give me your opinion on this photo people like you make me glad i joined dA.
