Description
Another Mario Bookmark. I took some original sprites from Super Mario 3 and merged them into a sort of scene.The pattern for this will be up on my Blog in the morning, I still have to convert it to a PDF and change a few colors on the pattern.

The bookmarks are all done with plastic canvas.

I use all 6 strands of floss for the background and its a checkered stitch. I guess that falls under embroidery.

Lol. I meant to ask about the stitch, but I only know satin stitch so went with generic 'embroidery' instead.

Yea, I never know what to call it, I hear there is controversy with cross stitcher's vs embroiderers. Very epic battle. So I tend to tread lightly.

It was a self help book titled "The Four Agreements" I wasn't reading it though, its the only one on the shelf that cooperates when I'm taking its picture.

This is great! I'm amazed at the dimensionality that you were able to get with the background and the orange and green blocks. You should do one that has those awesome white blocks that you can hold down and then hide behind the background.

I was very pleased with the colors that the blocks ended up. The background stitching brought it all out. Almost 3d when you see it in person.
