Now THAT was something that was a long time coming.The reference sheets for my main Wakfu OCs are more than two years old, and for Viviane her design was almost four years old. @_@ I never was really satisfied with how her basic outfit looked like, but I never felt confident enough to try and figure out something better. Until now!
That and her proportions are a lot better now.
This will be Viviane's look from now on. Well... Almost. I'm working on a Wakfu comic that is almost finished and I'm hoping to start posting it soon, but since it's been two years in working, she obviously has her old outfit in it ><

Hihi, I don't think anyone will ever feel 100% satisfied with thier choice of fashion, but 99.9% still isn't to bad either, no? XD
The free shoulder look suits Viviane, though I'm feeling slightly confused about what you said about having trouble shading when it came to her old outfit? I'm sure you've told me before, it was something about it being very tricky or difficult, but I forgot the details. Forgive this Iop brain.

Perhaps, though I can’t say for sure that I was the first, I sure was one of the friends you mentioned it too, yeah! XD Knowing how much you wanted to change her style up a bit, I’m really glad you finally got the chances to do so! XD
Aww, it does feel like that when you make a switch up to an OC’s outfit, it does. But rest assured, even if you don’t feel 100% satisfied with the dress, it still looks wonderful and it will come to grow on you more and more as you draw Viviane in it. Before you know it you’ll look back at her previous one and just wonder how it came about in the first place…At least, that’s how I felt about my OC’s outfits at time, lol. XD
And-..Ah, you meant the light effect! I thought you were referring to shadows being troublesome (which is usually the trouble with very dark clothes), yeah it’s a bit tricky to add light effect on a very light surface. XD

It's hard to argue with the results, but it does begs the question though, when does one know when our level of fashion design has indeed leveled up? Surely it changes with each passing week or month, or what clothes and designs you come across? XD
I'd like to think we all have our own ways of fashion and what we prefer, though it dosen't hurt to get a bit of input and feedback from friends, whether they ahve a sense for fashion or not. XDD
Don't say that, you drew Viviane a wonderful new outfit that she'll come to adore and enjoy for a long time a head! I'm already looking forward to seeing more of her in this outfit! >w<
And as for the colours of it, yes, it's a much better middle ground comapred to the previous, brighter, one. This new one will surely make shading and lightning at least a bit more easier than before. XD

That's how it usualy goes, yeah. You get around to see new designs and new ideas, some ideas stick whilst other get's put in the ''never-ever'' bin. XD
Why don't you keep in mind clothes you see online though, surely the referances and material is far more plenty than if you'd walk to the local clothes stores? =/

B-but why? Why do you think that your OC's wouldn't look good in an outfit you've seen online? I mean, a nice looking outfit will look nice regardless of where you see it, right?
As for the memorizing the words and styles to some clothes, yeah, I'm right there with you! XD (Didn't we both struggle to understand what ''godets'' were when you drew Viviane's dress back a few months? XD) I'm gonna be honest, I feel pretty dumb for not knowing the right word for some clothes, like, ''spandex-shorts'' to describe shorts that have the same characteristics of spandex?! XD
AND! I am enjoying the first few pages of the comic, yes! I'm already looking forward to the upcoming pages! >w<
