Please take into consideration the effort I put into this work and FULL VIEW
After receiving a finished commission picture of Tosca I felt very inspired to draw her. This was the outcome. I spent a few days on this one, because I wanted it to be good, and so I took breaks when I felt I needed to, or if I started to dislike the picture. Overall it took me about 10-15 hours to finish, though I'm not totally sure.
There are bits I'm still not totally happy with, and things I really need to improve on, I know. Sorry for yet again another sunset scene, but the colours just really suited.

Thank you, hehe! Yeah I was never too fond of Timon's ears. I don't think he looks very much like a meerkat, possibly because of them.

What? She's not THE Tosca from Meerkat Manor. I only adopted the name. Tosca is my fursona and the ONLY relation to Tosca from the Whiskers family is her name. Nothing more. They're nothing like each other.

My collegue at work taped the show for me in December 2005. Obviously it was shown in England BEFORE it was shown wherever you live.

Next to shading, the lineart takes the longest to do for me. I use a tool in Paint Shop Pro 7 that helps keep lines straight if my hand's a little wobbly. If you can see at each point where the lines end, I manually make them look 'pointy' with the eraser. It's a lengthy task, but I've had some good feedback on my lineart, so it makes it worthwhile

OMG! She's so cute! I love the lineart, and the way it's all brownish...I think it makes the picture softer... I also love sunset scenes...
Silly question, do you use the Pen Tool on Photoshop or whatever it is? Because your lines are sooo smooth...and I have no patience with that tool, but this inspires me...

I actually use Paint Shop Pro 7. I'm not sure if the tool I use is similar to that in PS, but it basically helps keep the lines straight if my hand's a little wobbly. It helps a lot, especially since I only use a mouse.

Aww I'm sure you can. I'd suggest looking at pictures of real meerkats for refrence, though, and you'll eventually come to start drawing your own cartoon 'style' for them. It was "Meerkat Manor" that inspired me to start drawing them

Ah the problem is is that Im not a huge fan of the animal to do something like that, I'd just like to do something with my character and draw something different then lions.
