Legends say that Dreams and Nightmares are true entities that watch over all ponies. They control what we see while we sleep and mold us for the future. Imagine a world with neither Dreams or Nightmares... What would sleep be like without them? In fact, they are a perfect balance. A world with just Dreams sounds good, but it is not. A world with just Nightmares doesn't sound good, but they're not good alone. They both need each other to create a perfect balance in the world.

Sweet Dreams gives every pony delightful dreams using our memories and what makes ponies happy to life as we sleep. The complete opposite of Noir Night. She only ever wants to bring ponies joy and give them all a beautiful night of sleep. Many ponies considered it a blessing having the privileged to have a beautiful happy vision as the sleep. Ponies had then came up with a short phrases wishing others to have a wonderful night of sleep with a beautiful vision for the night... "Sweet Dreams"

Ponies, specifically fillies, often bragged about what they dreamed that night and would always be so happy to tell all of their friends what Sweet Dreams granted them for the night, giving Sweet Dreams a smile.

Years pass, and as she flew over Equestria she felt something odd happening in their dream realm. It was imbalanced and Nightmares were surpassing causing major issues to Sweet Dreams. She knew what the problem was and went on a search to find him. She had caught him in the middle of performing some sort of sleep paralysis on a pony, threatening to take over their body to become part of their world. Sweet Dreams had this sincere and worried tone in voice asking him why. She noticed that ponies never have and never will appreciate Nightmares just like the Nightmare Pony himself. Sweet Dreams attempted to lower him from his power, but he was too comfortable and declared war.

This was difficult for Sweet Dreams. Sweet Dreams did not want to fight but she had no choice. Noir Night had been so caught up that he couldn't even use his powers to its full capacity. He was sloppy under the heavy stress of his new plan and slowly began losing. Eventually, Sweet Dreams had to use the chains on Noir Night who then became powerless.

Sweet Dreams had volunteer to then keep watch over Noir. She took the chance to just talk to Noir, trying to figure him out and see things like he would to then understand him. Over time this continued, Noir Night complained how much he didn't like the talks, but Sweet Dreams had a gut feeling that he's lying and that he actually likes it. Sweet Dreams had high hopes for Noir and completely had trust over him because he had a hard time. Sweet Dreams was praised while Noir Night was hated.

Slowly, both grew fond of each other and began summoning Dreams and Nightmares together causing whole new dream in which were considered odd. A mix of dreams and nightmares creates an odd vision to ponies, and it starts happening much more commonly. Ponies began dreaming of something cool then things would get weird and a little scary. Ponies running slow in a time of crisis and just a mix of memories just crashing into each other.

Both still give off individual dreams and nightmares, but they're now doing it together.
