In this timeline Ariel hand over trident to Morgana instead Melody(She was upset her mother hide the truth but calm down shortly after walking around castle. So she doesn't meet Morgana. She somehow figured out she was human/mermaid child. Also she suddenly remember Morgana attacked her when she was baby )

So, she asked her grandpa Triton king transformed her into mermaid to saved her mother.

Just before Ariel about to hand over trident to Morgana, Melody" No, mother! Don't hand over trident to her."

But Ariel hand over trident to Morgana. Morgana suddenly turn against Ariel and takes Melody as the hostages.

Melody" I already knew you attacked me when I was baby."

Morgana use trident magic fire at Ariel. When the sunset you will automatically transformed back into human. She also trapped her into icy prison
