Obligatory post-DnD quick doodle before I do something better that I'm about to start ;D

Pretty much sums up yesterdays 12-ish hour session haha xD Originally he was just acting to get out of trouble but he got a little too into it and wound up rather tipsy. And that glass was actually a bottle in game... a normal sized one, in the hands of a 3 foot gnome, haha.

Quite a bit happened in the last session, but one of the best, memorable moments was during a party that he and his companions were attending. They'd been asked by a paladin order to check out a suspicious house giving out subtle evil vibes, and it was hosting a masked ball/party the following evening and required entertainers. So after spending the first day shopping for clothes (this took us at least an hour of real time hahah xD), they went to the party. No weapons and no armour, so we were planning on being careful.

Long and short of it, after Steph the fighter sneaking around while Zeke distracted, followed by Zeke intimidating a couple of servants and unlocking a few doors into interesting rooms, they found themselves in the cellar of the house. Zeke may well have multi-classed into rogue but his search sucks, so Steph found a hidden door in one of the walls, leading to a short corridor with another door at the end of it. They heard voices coming from it, and Zeke snuck his way up to have a listen. In amongst general chatter, the two voices turned to discussing Zeke's performance - and the DM full well knows that Zeke is hot-headed when it comes to anything about him, his music or his clothes (if rubbed the wrong way enough he will lash out >.>). So naturally the voices insulted his music and his clothes. I paused a moment here to deliberate being sensible to save his life or being in character and hurl him into danger... Then went with sticking in character xD So Zeke flung himself into the room without any hesitation, ready to lay into whoever was talking ill of him.

Turns out he walked into a couple of heavily armed men who were guarding a dark ritual where followers of Nerull, the god of death, were summoning ~evil things~. Meanwhile, his companions vanished. Soooo, his first response faced with certain death was to pretend to be drunk. Annnnd natural 20. What a master of bluffing he is ;D The DM was less than happy at this haha, but he let it go so the guards escorted him out of the ritual chamber, whereupon Zeke kept up the drunk façade and glued himself to a barrel of wine. The others meanwhile legged it ;D Zeke then spent the rest of the party switching between being 'drunk' around servants and guards, clutching a bottle of wine to his chest, and being rather unhappy and unsettled at whathe'd stumbled into - hence why by the time they realised they needed to escape the building to tell the paladins what had happened the prop of wine was mostly consumed xD To the point where he tried to get into the lobby of the building to get his sword back he was using the excuse they he desperately needed the toilet and wanted to go in the street and none of us, myself included, were sure if he was still acting or not xD

By some complete miracle though, they made it out without any difficulty or issue. They only had a slight problem when the trapdoor in the cellar they used to escape via squeaked loudly and alerted guards, but they didn't have far to run and sought shelter with the paladins. We were fully expecting something to happen and us to get backed into a corner. But it worked out fine... for a change ;D
