So guess who finally got an ipad pro and apple pencil for her birthday and was able to try procreate after years of pining!! das right! THIS GIRL
I am so excited guys you have no idea. ;w; It feels like an entire world of possibilities have been opened up to me. While I cant see myself using this for everything from now on bc I do plan on revamping my home art setup at some point, I can definitely see myself making good use of this. It’ll be nice to have a mobile studio that I can take with me.

SO ANYWAY. ABOUT THE ARTWORK. I’m sure you all might recognize this character, but for those who dont, allow me to explain.

This character is a winged lion creature that I tend to draw a lot during worship at my church. I’ve only posted one finished drawing that included him (shown here: ), which was made before I transferred over to digital art. But truth be told, I still draw him all the time. I just havent had anything finished to show for it due to all my sketches of him being buried in my practice sketchbooks. I might dig one of them up and finish it one day, but for now, this and the other drawing of him that I made is what I have.

I always felt like his name was Theo, so I’ve always drawn him under the context that that was his name but never actually had a real reference for him. He’s supposed to be a very calm and elegant creature who’s been alive for possibly thousands of years. He’s strong, wise, protective, and gentle, with a nice sense of humor as well. And is quite a bit larger than your average Lion. Easily large enough for a human to ride.
He’s beautiful and lovely and is basically the ultimate dad. He’s a good big boi and I’d hope you’ll all be nice to him.

I really do love this character so much. For some reason he just means a lot to me and I’d love to do more work with him. I think maybe he’s supposed to be some kind of representation of god in a strange way. Maybe he could start playing a part in SALVATION in the future. Idk, but I really want to do something with this guy bc he really does deserve it.

also lowkey I think that lions with wings might be one of my favorite “mythical” animal combos ever. I just absolutely adore this concept. It’s so majestic and forboding and beautiful and I just- MMMMMM I LOVE ITTT

I do have the timelapse of this recorded so maybe I’ll post it and then link it here later. For now, hopefully you can enjoy this as it is anyway. ;w;
