Description
This is the concept of a Facebook client designed for Windows 8. I think this app would be useful and good-looking at the same time.The titles at the top are categories, similar to the Zune software.
As Windows 8 will show the user's profile picture in the task bar I decided not to show the user's Windows Live ID in the title bar like in Zune (which would also not make too much sense on a Facebook app) and replaced it with the Facebook-logo (the "tile").
I have got inspired by Conner-Monsees' [link] work. He makes really awesome concepts.

Very clean and fairly good looking, but the colors don't seem to play well with each other. That shade of blue has to go IMO, regardless of whether or not Facebook utilizes it. I also think you could do more to make the content stuff stand out, perhaps larger photos/text. All the attention seems to go to the left profile pane, which will be static for the most part as far as I can infer, and doesn't warrant that amount of space and attention.

One thing though: People probably chat with multiple people at once, and in your mockup I wonder how that would work.

Yeah, you're right. I had a different concept at first, where you could chat with multiple people, but there was too little space for that.
The idea behind this is that you have your current chat partner at the top and the others are shown if you click on "ALL". I know that it's really inconvenient though!

I wished the actual Facebook site itself was as clean and easy as this concept.
