Description The least reckognisable of all Infected, the status of Flareon is debatable: zombie or ghost?

New link to the forums is in the gallery folder.

Best seen on a black background: [link]

Evolution Before Infection: It remains looking much like it did before Infection, but rarely moves, from a distance it looks a little like a burning bush and if you get close enough to see it clearly for what it is you’ll see why it doesn’t move. When a Flareon was ‘killed’, upon being revived its Flash Fire went into overdrive, the Flareon kept its personality but for a more bloodthirsty nature, its Trainer wouldn’t notice anything was wrong, but for its constant shivering and every time it encountered fire it absorbed it. Slowly the fire within it grew and started to consume the Pokémon, which thinks it is constantly cold due to its dying nerves. It will fly at anything it sees in an attempt to cuddle up and get warm, only to burn up its victim, thus it was doomed to kill its Trainer. The Flareon has been driven insane by the constant ‘cold’ and the death of everyone it goes to for help, it doesn’t understand its error, only thinking of them as ‘leaving’. It sits huddled over constantly.

Evolution After Infection: Flash Fire drives the Flareon to seek out sources of heat constantly, it shiver violently sending out sparks, which, failing other heat sources, it will chase, giving it a even more demented appearance. It does not chase, its drive for ‘food’ making it focus on fuel and warmth, if one approaches a campfire then just walking away will get you out of harms way. These Flareon are little more than walking skeletons wreathed in pale fire, the pure heat given off is more than enough to distort the air around them, making them look like wraiths. Their burnt out eyes make it a mystery how they see, but it seems to have to do with heat sensors, they will go after anything warm, even slowly trailing it for days or weeks. Their main weakness is water in large amounts, if made cold enough they will die.

How to spot: They burn very brightly at night, but during the day, due to the paleness of their flame, it is best to look for the shimmering heat waves. They inhabit areas like moorland, where they burn the gorse and hide under the remains, but have also been seen in deep caves of a warm type which may lead to volcanic areas.

I had a great deal of fun with this one, though I was worried about the transparancy, hopefully it'll look fine on the forums.

Aww, poor thing. I feel very sorry for the ones that evolve before infection. The poor things don't understand, and sadly, it cannot be explained. Truly a sad, miserable, and lonely existence.
