Exhaustion set in his bone as Regulus stared at the locket, enchanted to match the one that Kreacher had described. He doubted the enchantment would last much beyond his death but it pleased him to imagine the Dark Lord finding it and having a moment of believing his horcrux to be anything but stolen. His eyes shifted to the Dark Mark, a livid bright red against his pale skin. At least it was not something he would have to deal with for much longer. Freedom, Regulus thought. He would finally be free from this guilt and nights of endless sleeplessness. He could do this - he would do this.
