Same, making lots of changes and moving quite soon
But it'll be a good year, I can tell
Any big plans for this year?

Plans? Way too many. "To create stuff" would sum it up alright.
What are yours?

I might come up with some new music recordings this winter - be sure to remind me to share it with everyone. Or talk me into recording my compositions, if I didn't already.

I just like scences with landscapes, sky, clouds, sunset - as written before, it reminds me of my own home here. I make many spontaneous photos with my cell phone, when I'm driving around here, but I'm not so sure, if it's adequate, to upload them on DA, cause it's pretty nice, what I photograph, but how I do it (with a simple 2 megapixel camera without any zoom) is far away from art. That's why I'm uncertain about it. However, I really like your shots here.

Hehe technical skill (megapixels, zoom, fancy focusing, shutter speeds) are only half of the story; the vision is where it's really at.
Anyone can be an artist if they can envision something
It's when technical skill and vision combine that you have something marvelous.

I see so many things, it's often quite crazy, what almost "falls" into my eyes. But often it's hard to explain at all, why I see things and why I estimate them to be so interesting. I can watch the same thing, landscape, church over years again and again and still it's a joy for me, during majority just sees it as boring. So for example I really like the view from our balcony over our lake called Tegernsee. (My home in Bad Wiessee is on the western side of this lake in Upper Bavaria in southern Germany; there are some webcams here on official websites, looking to the North, so that my home village is on the left side of the water: [link] and [link] - of course, we're 6 hours later with time than you, so at day time in Canada you'll here see just bad night views.) And this child-like fascination for so many views leads me to spontaneous shots, the only camera, I have with me, is the simple one in my cell phone. I'd have a good one with 14 megapixels, too, but it's just too big, to have it in everyday life with me.

I agree, at first place one must see the things; but at second place, the best vision doesn't help, when your equipment is too bad, to make a photo, letting others realize at all, what was special abot a thing. In matters of detailed abilities of a camera I'm quite clueless, I have to confess, my good one has some automatic modes, which do a good job, but with my cell phone there's one deficit already enough, to let photos become often not really similar to what I would have wanted to show: It has no zoom, so sometimes what I myself was focussed on is on the photo only far away in the background.

In the end, the vision is the first main condition for good photos, but too lonely without technical aid it's not enough, if you're not satisfied with having seen something alone.
