i wrapped my little sister in clear plastic to show how women are under a big pressure to look perfect and act a certain way. i'm showing her looking out of the plastic with hope that she can get out and be her own person and realize that you don't have to be perfect to be beautiful.note: yes she could breathe and yes she wanted to do it.

great picture the concept you mention kinda reminds me of the cover for crass' "Penis Envy" with the blow up doll in its wrapping.

have you ever seen the work by Rosenquist i believe.. there was a huge display at the guggenheim i went to see...there are dolls wrapped in saran wrap....they're painted though.. gorgeous.. set up a lot like your picture.. only of course painted, and not real humans...
