I have to admit, out of all the Grendel pictures I've seen on dA, I agree with this one the most. The story doesn't give an accurate description of what he looks like, but I imagine him as a reptilian creature. The story described him as crawling, walking, and swimming, so in my mind it just made sense. xD

Interesting concept. I came across a Young Earth Creationist web-site once upon a time that claimed the various monsters of Beowulf were surviving dinosaurs and this reminded me of that.

Good that you've included some other poses so we can see how it would move around.
