18 x 24" Acrylic on canvas.A BIG painting! I was working on this for a few weeks, but really only several hours total. I tried to keep it simple and illustrative, I don't try to paint photo realism because I'm not good at it and don't enjoy it. However I do study photos of animals and pay close attention to anatomy and form.
I love sea turtles and got to see a few when I lived in Hawaii and I snorkeled often. They are so majestic, peaceful creatures. They are one of my favorite ocean animals.

Very pretty. I just have one small thing. Make sure to crop out the edges of the canvas so that just the painting is visible. Other than that small gripe it’s an amazing painting.
