Indeed, and we as humans tend to like the bad guys a lot more because they always have flaws, making them complex characters and most of the time easier to relate than some "perfect" heroes.
I didn't feel any guilt at all back then, just thought he was so cool; however, Regulus isn't bad at all, he just enjoys battle, and sides with whoever he finds promising to bring good battles to him; more than a villain, he's kind of a rival anti-hero.

Maskers and elemental knights don't have as many fans as him.
