My opinion on political correctness and revisionist history.- Mandela didn't abolish apartheid. The "evil" white National Party did.
- There were Poles among the troops who stormed the Reichstag.
- The Soviets won 80% of WW2.
- Germany had by FAR the best kill/death ratio and was defeated because the enemy had so much cannon fodder.
- The Boer republics didn't have apartheid, that only came in after the union with the British colonies, who had apartheid.
- And longer ago, the British got creamed by a French girl.
I love REAL history.

As a student of history, I totally agree. Political correctness, revisionist history, anything that amounts to distortion of truth, sickens me. Governments, figures of power, people who wanted to advance their own agendas tend to dabble with such crap. And there's no better agent of spreading revisionist history than Hollywood.
Then again, not too long ago I lived in a place where it is common to think that the world is under the control of the Zionist shadow powers. Now I live in a place where some around me think that it was the NWO, or was it the Illuminati, or Freemasons? that does the controlling. Sigh...

As far as the Illuminati thing goes, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if there's some controlly thing going, or if the Freemasons had something to do with it, but I don't have an official opinion and anyway it's not like there could be any organisation controlling the world. If there were, you'd think there would be less schemes to take over the world floating around these days.

I hate to say publicaly but that i am a history revisionist myself and i think that pieces of history is very interesting if sturdied intensively with enought petient one may uncover which is based of liars and slanders or which ones is truth

With old history it's quite hard to tell what's true and what's false, but I agree - with enough study from different sources it's possible to get a relatively unbiased version of what happened. With current events it's easier, if you have access to a lot of different news outlets.
Also.. what's with your avatar? No, I don't go "AAAAH NAZI" on sight of anything Nazi or SS-related

Well, I know that not everyone who is interested in the Nazis actually is a Nazi or condones what they did in any way, which is why I don't just assume people are Nazis unless they come out and tell me so, or say things very Nazi-like.

I agree with everything but the cannon fodder line. From late 1943 on, the Soviets had the best equiped and motivated soldiers of the war.
Still, it's really good to see someone else that hates political correctness.

I had the impression the Soviet soldiers weren't the best equipped... they did have the Stalin's Organ, but still, as far as I know they were neither best equipped nor best trained (though it's quite possible they were best motivated). This is only *as far as I know*, though, and I'm no WW2 expert; I'm open to alternative knowledge!
And yeah, political correctness is a real pain in the neck. How are we supposed to learn from history if we don't learn history? Plus, political correctness is hypocritical; it decrees that calling a black person a "k*ffir" is racist - and I agree wholeheartedly - but it's not racist to curse white people and sing "Kill the Boere"? Or scream about how the Israelis are evil? What on earth?

HA, reminds me of the the very vocal people(usa) worked up about racial slavery that ended around a hundred and fifty years ago but are silent on the fact that slavery continues to this day and that the slave trade was started in africa.

Heheh, yeah. Sure, slavery was bad, and we will always be thankful to William Wilberforce for ending it in the British Empire, and for the end to come to it in the USA, but seriously, you can *not* get worked about it over a century and a half later.
Hey, they should look to Africa for examples. Cries of racism are on the decline in South Africa, and apartheid only ended 15 years ago!

Personally, I hate people, who try to show their own lied version of history.
I mean for example, those Russians, who swear they and only they captured Reichstag and Chinese, who claim, they don't hurt minorities in China ( Tibet is best example - they treat Tibetans like the Soviets treated us,Poles = with despise and hatred ).

Those, who think in such way, have limits in points of view. If they read more about WW2, they would know, that there were exceptions inside both sides ( Allies and Nazis ).
I know Poles, who still have much against Germans despite the fact our neighbours from Western side of the Oder River had already paid for NSDAP terror and in 99,9% cases, they rejected Nazism.

Ja. There are some people who just can't let go of the past, despite how much has changed. But they're really shooting themselves in the foot, because by refusing to change their worldview, they're really limiting themselves. Not to mention they make themselves look like idiots and racists.
