because at the time of drawing this, I was genuinely worried about what people would think regarding Tia calling Professor Harmoney "Dad". and of the unfortunate (and wrong) implications some people might jump to. I figured, that if I addressed it directly, I would be covered.

I am a little unconventional. when writing down a sound I like to write down what it sounds like. Not what people THINK it sounds like.
eg. if a sheep bleets I will avoid the use of "baah" if I can, because a sheep really says "maaaah"
by doing it my way I can write down sounds that there isn't a made up word sound for. (though sometimes it's just simpler to use the made up word to avoid confusion)

Personally, I don't know what Professor Harmony is talking about when he says people might get the wrong idea. Seriously, I don't, because the obvious choice makes no sense; nobody is going to think that Celestia means it genetically when she says "mummy" and "daddy" and it's pretty normal to get very convoluted family trees when you take every non-genetic relationship like that people say seriously.
