It feels like forever since I teased I was doing N.Gin next! But here he finally is.

This one is based on one of Zembillas's drawings again. I absolutely love his N.Gin work, not too cooky, always literally steaming. Speaking of the smoke, I planned to add a particle system for it, but I figured in order to get the shape exactly how I wanted, I'd need to do it by hand when touching up the image in an editor. I never did smoke before, but I think it turned out good!

Alot of roadblocks came in while getting this model ready for my renders. First was the materials, which were hard to figure out because they were so vague, and metal can be tricky to get right. Finally, when I finished it, the Crash 4 trailer came out, and showed me I did them all wrong! How was I supposed to know the yellow parts of his gloves were metallic, haha. After that I had to do the rig itself, and boy was that a handfull and a half. Not just did I have to add 30+ bones to his head alone, I basically had to reweight all his existing ones! Heck, some weren't even rigged to begin with, like all the bones that give him noodle limbs.

In short, N.Gin was like, 3 times as much of a workload as Cortex. It might as well be a completely custom rig, so little of the original remains! But it was well worth it, I absolutely love how much freedom I have over his head shape now, to the point this one looks nothing like the base shape!

Anyway, that's all! Expect more N.Gin renders coming soon. Hopefully I did enough for this rig that I don't have to add something everytime I do a new one, haha!
