I decided to enter into this contest because I decided what the hell I've improved alot since I started drawing portraits last August. For instance the shading has way more definition and values and everything is so much more realistic now especially the hair. I think I did my best work on her facial features though; nose, lips, and eyes in particular. I don't think I'll win anything, but I thought I'd give it a shot.Old work [link]

actually im working on something right now almost done with part of it to add a WIP soon tonight xboxlive has been offline 24 hours for matience so i been drawing lol XD

Wow, you have improved a lot! The first one is pretty too but when you put it side by side with your new work differences show clearly! You have always understood shape of faces and eyes but in your newest works your shading is getting better and better all the time.

Isn't it amazing what time does? I've been looking back at my crap sketches (the ones I don't post here on DA) and I have to make sure that I actually drew them.

yeah well I don't like so far what's been meant to be in my life. I can't wait to see the happily ever after who I'll grow old with meant to be. I figured out that my ex turned out to be a false hope prolonged I'll love her forever she's forgotten about me already fake meant to be. either way I've ended up all alone and depressed because of it. I really miss being able to have a phone call with a girl whose voice soothes me especially when i get home from work and like to relax. eh maybe my life will only be this shitty for a few more months and that'll be it. who knows. all I know is I can't fall out of love with her no matter how hard I try. she just made me love her way too much and now without her I'm going crazy. like literally.
anyways, I'm sorry I went in this direction when this was originally about art. i just had to let my feelings out to someone I know and you're a kind friend so i thought I couldn't hurt myself further by telling you.

It's alright, you can vent to me whenever you need to. I've been told I can sit though anything... but advice, I'm not so good at. I'm sure you'll find someone else though. You're such a sweet and good person; you deserve all the world offers. And if she's already over you, she isn't worth your time. I know what it's like. I met this guy several years ago and we were best friends... we were just unfortunately in love with each other at different times. I was too young when we met, and apparently he was completely infatuated with me. As time went on, he began looking at me as his little sister and I started looking at him as much, much more. Anyways, it took me a year before I was completely over him and I found the person I'm dating now... not that things right now aren't rocky, but he made things a bit better way back when.
So if you ever want to talk, art or personal, just go ahead, I'll listen...
