Universal Lady Justice Aya or ULJA takes place in the dark city of Arahi. Aya Masa is a young girl who lives in the decaying technological world under abuse at school and her mother's strictness. On the verge of despair, Aya finds a crystal that transforms her into a magical girl. However, she has become a target of the mysterious secret conglomerate that hunts magical girls known as the Anti-Magic Faction. Fortunately, she remains optimistic and hopeful while befriending and learning the troubles of many other magical girls, including one named Shizuko Ayumi. With her new allies and abilities, Aya starts a liberation campaign against the Anti-Magic Faction to break down the walls leading her and her friends to a new life.
