after watching the anime sarai-ya goyou, i instantly wanted to draw a fanart~and the ost is so beautiful too, i've been listening to it constantly!
i've been very addicted to this anime and drew a lot of sketches already.
so yeah, you might see some more fanarts of these two~ ^^

OMG...more people should watch House of Five Leaves. I felt it was a really under-appreciated series last year (it was in my top ten list, heh); some people just don't appreciate atmospheric shows. /sob
Anyway, it's so nice to see a fanart of it. And you've done an extremely good job with this. The shading is really nice. Yaichi's pose is so...Yaichi.

Wow, this is really cool. Very well composed. I like how you used texture for the ground. It's very fitting. I think you did the shadows very well on this too. I love historical costumes. Very cool. I'll have to check out the series. I agree that the roof was colored well too, very detailed. I don't know for some reason though the lighting for the roof seems off? I feel like the large shadow areas should be on the opposite side.

OMG! The leaves look so good. They are so detailed. I can't imagine how long it took to add that stuff. Also, I love the way you colored the roof of the building. Nice perspective too! I noticed that you made your noses sharper for this drawing. Was it influenced by the anime series or some other? The feet turned out really especially for the one in the pink kimono. Well, you can't really see the other person's feet though. LOL!

yes, the sharp noses were influenced by the series.
though i've been sorta drawing my noses like that with my lineart sketches.
