I like the hand's appearance, and I absolutely love the focus work you did there... The natural choice would be to focus on the plant and choose a different composition that slightly puts that in the center more, but the way you did even emphasizes the concept that I think you had in mind.
Not sure if the lentils (I think?) make it better or worse... They are distracting a bit from the structure of the hand, but they also add to the impression... doesn't change the overall outcome being great, definately.
