Description Comment Update: Wow, I decided to take a look at this entry today and It's got half of my total DA views and probably more views than all of my other deviations combined! This image is probably the biggest draw to my account I've got! I just want to thank all the people that have decided to favorite this one, and all the views I get. ^_^

WHOOKAY. First of all, it's a very large Image, so beware.
This is perhaps the largest deviation I'll ever submit. It's also the oldest. I didn't want to submit over 60 Images that I made almost a decade ago and clog up my gallery. These are all Gundams and mobile suits in general that I made in MS paint many years ago. However, the base images that I cut apart to make them are not of my own creation and I have to give full credit to Mark Simmons originally of GundamProject.com. Most of these were made because someone requested I make them a custom Gundam, or as a gift image or something. A lot of them aren't perfect and most of them have never seen a glimpse of photoshop. Okay, now that the introduction is done, I'll present their names line by line. Some of them are pictured several times because of differing weapons or equipment, and that won't be noted. but some history will be noted on each line.
line 1: Penguin Gundam (/bootleg gundam), Jinx Gundam (/one winged angel), Diablo Gundam. ~~~Okay, I was requested to make a penguin shaped gundam...I think it turned out. Then with the diablo, I was requested to make a red version of the tallgeese. I don't do recolors so I got creative lol. One winged angel should be self explanitory.
Line 2: Vash Gundam (also with angel arms), Kilroy Gundam (/Otaku God Gundam).
I think Vash explains himself. He was a request too. The Otaku God Gundam was based on the title image of a website I used to be an administrator for.
Line 3: Demon Gundam, Fiend of Sword Gundam, Devlish Angel, Lobo Robo, Beast Gundam.
Demon was done as instructed on a request, fiend of sword looks like a zebra...Devlish angel was one challenging request. It was done to a demonic angelic looking thing that I'm told may be from Rayearth. lobo robo was another request and the Beast Gundam was just something I slapped together out of boredom.
Line 4: Nightshade Leo, Mini's Taurus, The Blue Angel Gundam.
The nightshade I think was done for an RP. The special Taurus was made for a friend in an RP and the Blue Angel was done because I was challenged to make a well designed mech by someone who was a bit full of himself.
Line 5: The Desert Rose Gundam, Gundam Chelsey, Karen's RX-79G.
The Desert Rose was made for one of my very best friends at the time, whom I haven't seen in years (if anyone knows where Harmony Chan has disappeared to, please let me know. she used to run this site: [link] )Chelsey was done for another friend, and The RX-79G was actually done because when I was going through the gundam project, I noticed there was no image for it. (watch Gundam 08th MS Team )
Line 6: Aquarius, Neo Maganac, Lionheart, Virgo 4, Kamikaze Gundam.
All the mechs on this line except for kamikaze were done for a fic I never did. The idea being that after the events of Gundam Wing, mobile suits were needed again, so the preventors took the scraps of other mechs and constructed new ones. Kamikaze was done for a friend, but he kinda pissed me off so I made another one where I took the head off.
Line 7: Darkstar, Darkstar Kai, Misao's GM, Blue Avenger, The Eclipse, Gemini.
The darkstar and Darkstar Kai were built to be predecessors to another gundam later on down the list. Misao's GM is also a couple lines down but I don't feel like editing this thing. It was made as a gift. The blue avenger was done on request to an image that I later realized was a gundam girl done to Wing Zero. The eclipse was a request also. it's facing the other direction because of left hand/right hand requests. The gemini goes with the same Fic I mentioned above.
Line 8: Neoleo, Neo Guncannon, Mobile Target, Misao's Gundam. The first three were basically just done for fun. The idea behind them being "I have to give these gundams something to shoot at." and Misao's gundam was the original gift to that friend, but I felt bad that it looked so crappy so I made the GM.
Line 9: Mini's Gundam, Lobo Robo, The Phoenix Gundam, Neo Alex (/The Elvis Gundam), The Stuntmech.
gift, gift on request, gift on request, funny gift on request, and request by a crazy person.
Line 10: Misao's GM (again), The Onix Gundam, The Gyarados Gundam, The Charizard Gundam.
The pokΓ©mon gundams were done for fun.
Line 11: Jedi Gundam, Sith Gundam, Thor Gundam, THE OVERKILL GUNDAM.
The jedi and Sith were done for fun randomly, The Thor gundam was a gift and Overkill is my own personal Mech. Could you tell?

These were a lot of work many years ago, and I'm pretty happy with most of them. I know they're not perfect, but hopefully whoever had enough patience to look through this all has enjoyed them.

I'm sorry dude, but I have to call shenanigans, you might have recolored them, but all the actually gundams are from a website that got shutdown some years ago. I was looking for the original site, and stumbled across this, i'm sure I have the exact same pictures on a cd somewhere from when I was really big into gundam. you should be ashamed to claim someone else's work as your own

you're a god dammed idiot. did you even bother to read the information I put up? Maybe instead of just looking at the image and saying "wow, those look familiar, he must be claiming that he did 100% of the artwork here."

you did not make these, you did not cut them apart, these are exact copies of the gundams on that site, and as for me taking images off of google, i say that I got them off of google, i dont say "i took them off of google, but basically they are custom, because i cropped them"

you seriously are stupid. the ORIGINAL IMAGES were made by Mark Simmons, I then spent dozens of hours on microsoft paint changing them pixel by pixel over the course of several years. Those images represent hundreds of hours of work. you took a couple images off of google and therefore they're custom images because you cropped them? Stop harassing me you little punk. When you grow up one day you might understand, but until then, just sit in the corner.

Thanks very much. It's always nice to meet someone who knows gundam, and an appreciator of my stuff. some of them were requests so that's why some of the themes repeat partially. I'd post what the Kilroy gundam was based off of but it's the work of another artist so i wouldn't feel good with that.
also it was pretty hard to do all this in paint so i definitely felt accomplished

this so cool but i hafta ask did you just cut and past parts from different mobile suits and frankenstein them togather cause it kinda looks it also i realy like all the leo ones and the virgo ones

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ShiKageMaru In reply to transthepsycopath [2009-07-22 23:39:27 +0000 UTC]

I did a little bit more than that. It required manipulation pixel by pixel in order to make them look good. This is especially true of changing colors to match, or to create a new scheme. It was quite a bit of work in MS paint. I have to give all of the credit to the artist who created the original mobile suits. I just filtered them through my imagination after that. Thanks for the compliments.

yes i can tell it was hard to do but
still you did essentially just Frankensteined existing suits but ya they are imaginative though i paticerly like the leos could ya make more of them (exept in the form of a bio sheet)

ShiKageMaru In reply to transthepsycopath [2009-07-23 19:16:10 +0000 UTC]

err, I suppose so. Yeah, I am capable of making more of those, but most of those were actually inspired by something, and I don't really have the incentive to make more. Lacking time and money at the moment, I can't afford to sink the time into more gundams.

transthepsycopath In reply to ShiKageMaru [2009-07-23 19:19:36 +0000 UTC]

awwwwww but your so good at it and if its money ya need then take the designs that the least recognizable to the gundam franchise and make them into action figures then sell them

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ShiKageMaru In reply to transthepsycopath [2009-07-24 17:32:00 +0000 UTC]

It doesn't work that way. Even though I do own them as art, if I tried to make money off of them on that scale, Bandai and Mark Simmons would have every right to sue me.
Also, I wish I did know about a toy company that would easily accept action figure designs. That'd be cool. I don't, however.

transthepsycopath In reply to ShiKageMaru [2009-07-24 18:08:10 +0000 UTC]

ah i know about copy rights and stuff but i saw some action figures that looked like a tie die version of the old zakus in a dollar store if i get a digital camera ill show you some time and also try searching for custom action figures theres a site that dose that kinda stuff heres a link [link] it'll do it for ya and if your realy worried about bandai just ask for permission but if its different enough they wont care cuz theirs a lot of parallel thinking in anime and bandies a Japanese company like i said they wont care as long as you only sell at the small time level and dont call them mobile suits or gundams and choose designs that dont look like something they already made like its inspired by them trust me

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ShiKageMaru In reply to transthepsycopath [2009-07-26 02:19:48 +0000 UTC]

those action figures are hong kong ripoffs. I've found all sorts of things like that in dollar stores.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

transthepsycopath In reply to ShiKageMaru [2009-07-26 02:26:02 +0000 UTC]

still they dident get sued just choose the ones that dont look to much like wat bandie has done and the copy right dosent apply oh and dont call em mobile suits or gundams

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ShiKageMaru In reply to transthepsycopath [2009-07-27 06:29:30 +0000 UTC]

They didn't get sued because they're operating out of China. Thank you, but no. I would only do something like that for a few friends perhaps, but It's FAR more complicated than that to make money off of it. Also, even if I could get away with it, there's absolutely NO way I would try and make money on a large scale off of the work of Mark Simmons and Bandai. There are a lot of talented artists that I would essentially be stealing their efforts. I consider myself an artist and I would definitely NOT be one if I did that. It'd be like tracing something out of a manga and putting it up on DA claiming it as my own.

ummm thats actually alot of anime artists incorege that tracing thing infact thats how alot of the great ones learned how to draw and again if you get permision THEN ITS OKAY to make monny from
making a figure youed just hafta give a persent of it to them besides from what ive seen your

works are all original and just have similaratys to

gundams cause after all the beam saber idea came from the light

saber in star wars and they dident get sued

ShiKageMaru In reply to transthepsycopath [2009-07-28 06:56:20 +0000 UTC]

you're suggesting that it's okay to be an art thief just so long as you don't get caught, or you go through the step of asking permission. It goes against everything that it means to be an artist. Fan art is nice, but an artist can't subsist of that alone. I will never be an art thief, and I think you need to review what you believe. The community does NOT look well upon thieves.

transthepsycopath In reply to ShiKageMaru [2009-07-28 07:13:40 +0000 UTC]

i wasent suggesting stealing anouther persons art but anime artists do do alot of prrelel thinking cause of heard of instances of 3 artists using the same charector also IF YOU GET PERMISSION TO USE AN IDEA ITS NOT STEALING IT CAUSE THEY'TOLD YOU YOU CAN USE IT AND SO LONG AS YOU DO NOT SULY THE BRAND THEN THE WONT GET ANGERY AT YOU ALSO STEALING IS TAKING SOME THING WITH PERRMISSION IF PERMISSION IS GIVEN THEN BY THE OWNER(S) THEN THEN AS LONG AS THEY DONT HAVE A PROBLUM WITH IT YOU CAN DO WHAT EVER THE HELL YOU WANT i know ive actualy asked an artist this stuff before

#3: You're talking to an artist. I know what I'm talking about. I suggest you drop it, and maybe come back to this when you're more grown up.

for one thing i know what im talking about i actually read copy right laws and it dose state that if permision is given by a legle owner and a disclaimer is used then it can be used also your desighns are different enough so they count as an original work based on gundam if you call it something else they cant do anything i checked now can you say you read the laws pertaining to copy right infringment i think not and even if theydo have problum just give them a fair percentage of all profits earned duh and again you might think that your designs look like theres they dont they look simeler

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ShiKageMaru In reply to transthepsycopath [2009-07-31 07:23:13 +0000 UTC]

Okay, seriously stop talking to me. Learn how to spell, and learn the difference between Plagiarism and Parody. I'm an ARTIST; not a nine-year-old. Tracing and theft are not okay. Making money in an artist alley at a convention or selling T-shirts online is different from trying to make an action figure line or any such thing. I didn't create gundams, I only bent them to my will for the sake of creativity. I will NOT use the work of Mark Simmons for my profit. It'd quite litterally be like taking a bunch of Picasso paintings, rearranging them creatively and claiming it as my own. Yes, I deserve some credit, and yes it's creative, but the original artist deserves half the credit. Now once again, stop this nonsense.

Though my all time favorite Gundam's will always be Gundam Wing 001, Wing Zero Gundam, and Wing Zero Custom Gundam since I love all three of them plus I like Heero Yuy. My best friend loves all the Deathsycthe Gundam's and Duo Maxwell. Though you did intermix some of our gundam's with other one's to make them really cool look so I would have to say good job and keep making more.

They were almost all done completely in MS paint. With programs like photoshop, people can do amazing things. so give it a try with any program. It's a lot of hard work, but it can be worth it. But if you do, always remember to give credit to the brilliant artist that created the original work.
