Reconize this dragon? He was in my picture called "Dragon Chess". I finished the original sketch of the green dragon. I plan on finishing the rest of them too.This one took particulairly long because I did it with charcoal. Charcoal's really fun to work with and you can make really nice stuff with it, but it takes a really long time. I touched it up and added colour in photoshop so it would be recognizable as a green dragon.
I'm really proud of how this came out! I'm considering switching it to my featured deviation, even though the Ohmu picture is much harder and longer worked on... Not many people appreciated the Ohmu picture.
I think this picture would go over better with everyone.Edit: Uped the contrast. It looks MUCH better.

well, I don't like his mouth, because reptiles have mouthes that go along the bottom of their jaw, not up into their face.
but everything else I really like -- the musculature, the motion of the lines, the shading, the positioning of the limbs. It's a very well drawn picture. You have talent.

Now that you mention it, I think I could have done a better job on it. This picture was done about a year ago now though, so I have improved since then. Thank you for sharing your opinion. ^-^

u used green charchols do u use prisma color pencils thats all i use cuz they blend so well

Actually the charcoal I used was kind of a brown-ish colour. The colours added to this picture are just flats done in photoshop. For most of my pictures, though, I do use prismacolous. I usually use a combination of regular soft-leaded ones and pointyer hard-leaded ones on top.

The coloring is realy good, i expecially love it, how you draw the wings, they look logical and real

wow, the way you did his wing is amazing! Your dragon anatomy is very good. My only suggestion is a bit less shading around this hip and shoulder. They look sortof detatched. ^.^ this is really great

He looks great! I'd have turned up the contrast a little more so the shadows would be more obvious though-you worked really hard on them after all.
