Because my art instructor was an idiot and needed me to prove that orange and blue are complimentary colours. Not green and purple, not blue and red, but blue and orange. I hate her...Related content

It's not black, a very very cold black made with blue. And that's the point. It's very zen and feng sui. Earth, Sea, Sky and Forest. Wee!

yeah I can see that when I look at the picture larger (although it looks black in spots...must be the scan)
but as far as it being zen and feng sui.....yeah it is ...it has a very nice "feeling"
I hate not being able to come up with the right words.....but it is peaceful and relaxing...as if the darker colors are guiding you tot eh calm that is the blue nad hte orange is like little fires burning away the troubles of the mind.......kinda at least.....

Yeah I know, it's called a colour wheel, opposites are compliments, duh. As my final I did an oil painting of an elaborated colour wheel. She didn't think it was funny.
