this is the original, which is not how a sword is drawn; I tried to see if going with the conventional hold looks better but it changed the look of the picture too much so I eventually stuck with this one!

Your artwork is really the ones that reach out to me the most, it seems so alive (and I making much sense here? XD). I feel like I can hear what's inside it, like the wind and the birds. You draw your characters and art with so much detail that it looks alive and...and... I'll just stop ;_;

Beautiful. I adore this picture. The "Untitled" one of Veloce is also fabulous. The others of her, I must admit, I'm not such a fan of. Don't get me wrong, your art is pretty as hell, *always*. But I can't actually "feel" Veloce in those other pictures. It's like seeing pictures of someone doing cosplay. They have the right colouring, but they just don't pull off the sheer, aggressive impact of her character (at least, not as she comes across to me in your manga). But yeah, always beautiful; always a sumptuous feast for the eyes. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. It's beyond impressive!

Thank you! Even though she does reek a patronizing atmosphere when she does get assertive, she's not very predominately "out there" person in my head. I think it wouldn't present her well for her to be always easily identified as an aggressive and assertive person right off the bat, but I am happy to know that I can make her come off that way sometimes! I do get what you mean by the posing cosplayer though, and character or not I would like to stay away from that blank unengaging look if possible, so I'll keep that in mind and try to pay more attention to subtle body language in future pictures (:

Although it is true that Veloce reeks cool superiority when she chooses to intervene, this isn't actually what I was referring to. What I meant was that, even just sitting quietly and observing, Veloce has *presence*. It is not that she is aggressive (although she certainly can be) but rather that her character has a certain strength and gravity that makes itself felt without the need for words or actions. It is the impact of her character that is aggressive, rather than her words or actions in any given situation. Indeed, in any given situation, her words and actions actually tend more to be cool and reserved than forward and aggressive.
At least, that's the way she come across to me
