From July 2010 to April 2011, I worked on a commissioned manga chapter (46 pages long) for ~Kulimar of a story he had planned. The detailed script and dialog was provided by him (written by Mari Holy) and my job was to get down the story in manga form. It is a self contained story in a world that he plans to release more similar stories for. I recently noticed he posted it on his site so you guys can finally read it there!

About the project:

This was challenging for all of us; it is his first time directing a project like this, and it is my first time illustrating someone else's story within a page count limit. I was responsible for the entire illustration process, ie. I did the thumbnails as well, so it was pretty interesting try to make thumbnails that are comprehensible by people other than me haha (and probably very worrying for him at the time because he had to practically approve stick people and 5-year-old scribble buildings). I also drew everything on the computer whereas I normally do my manga lineart on paper. It's a little harder to guess the level of detail I should go for because sometimes I start going nuts when I zoom in too much. Lastly it's not a fantasy setting lmao, with buildings and classrooms and SUITS and GUNS AND GUARDS AND MENNNN EVERYTHING I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRAW... but in the end I guess that's how we learn lol ):
