interesting that they would actually do ground combat. because thats actually humanities best defense against an alien invasion making them bleed for every inch of soil

I'm slowly working my way through all the proof reading. It's a bit over 1/3 proofed at this point. I have to check for spelling AND every technical detail to ensure setting accuracy.

I would imagine that keeping the 'science' of a fictional setting straight would be a little difficult. It is good to hear that there is progress, even if its slower then expected. Keep up the good work both to pay the bills and making the book.

Here is some back story. At the end of the 21st century the world saw a mass economic reshuffle, countries who relied heavily on oil and other fossil fuels were hit the hardest. A Neo-Socialist movement crept in, starting not in Russia but in Alaska. Alaska now with it's oil all but useless(not that it had much left) become very impoverished, along with Russia & China. This was the perfect climate for Socialist ideals to reignite, not the centralist form but more like a confederate one. The soviets formed an alliance with the alien race known as the Cerruon . The Soviet Alliance officially formed in 2120 with some of its former territories and new ones in China, Africa, Alaska and space colonies. It lasted to 2184 when The Great Red War broke out due to tensions between them and the alien race the Clhattians mainly with the Confederation of Dalloyn Systems . The soviets were found to be supporting revolutions in the territories of the Confederation of Dalloyn Systems. Mass sanctions against the soviets especially in energy trade caused their economy to reach the brink of collapse. In September of 2184 they attacked the joint European-Dalloyn colonial planet of Thauclite and the helium 3 mining gas giant it orbited. The picture here shows the last years of the war when the allies attacked the soviet alliances weak point earth. It was not counting on the war spreading past the colonies.

Well, the tank can move on tracks or by walking. So long as it doesn't take too big a leg hit it'd be fine, not any more vulnerable than a usual tank getting it's tracks hit.

Dynamic, beautifully realized, with excellent attention to detail and a very nice, sparing use of effects in the form of muzzle flashes and line of fire, not to mention excellent perspective. Beautiful.

I love how you are able to draw the far off background as well. Just adds so much depth to the scene, fantastic!
Edit: Would be better to see those "aliens" using some kind of energy weaponry though. I noticed the dead alien in the bottom left corner of the drawing, and saw what looked like ammunition/buckshot/shells on a strap/ammo belt. Ruined the immersion a little. Will you change that?

How does an Alien using a ballistic weapon ruin immersion for you? Watch more scifi, aliens use ballistic weapons all the time.

Haha, I wanted to point out that being strict about that kind of thinking leads to it's own kind of "boring". A race would discover ballistics before they discover enery weapons, and it's possible they will find advancing those ballistic weapons more efficient than energy weapons. It's ok to present you ideas, but be careful how you word them, and remember that commissioned work doesn't leave everything up to the artist.

Oh okay, my bad. Didn't know people who commissioned liked to go into that kind of detail as well, seeing as I've never commissioned.
Your first point is very valid, that is true.
Thanks.
