Description
The Seven Deadly Sins -- EnvyFweee! It is DONE!
I planned this one out in my sketchbook, so I won’t forget anything. But I did; the frozen water puddle and the scales. Damn. Oh well
Time taken: Let’s say, over 15 hours on and off.
Oh, this image was originally HUGE. Take a look at Envy's Details
I spent ages on this one; I painted the mane and tail FROM BLOODY SCRATCH. SHYAH. No brushes, no bleeding tablet, just me and meh mouse. And I painted the horse. And the eye. Oh heck, all of the horse. And the vines and twigs on the hooves, mane and tail were painted too by hand, I mean mouse. Oh and I painted that sea monster thing. Hmm… a lot of symbolism went into this (well, maybe not that much, but I couldn’t find enough when I went researching. But envy is closely linked with this sea demon whose name escapes me. And the thorny vines symbolise that envy is a desire that slowly chokes you, creeping up from your surroundings and forever attached; using others like a parasite. The snake represents the devil.

Overall, this is a very complex image
I do have a few brief things to point out...
The horse looks... fake. (Well, thats kinda what photomanipulation is, but whatever, haha) What I mean by this is the muzzle... It looks like it's got strokes from being painted or something...
The sky and ocean don't match up properly... If you fade the sky towards the bottom and place it over the water, it will look more realistic.
Another small detail is that the castle stands out a little bit... Surprisingly, lowering the opacity to about 80% or lowering the saturation can fix this problem.
My last problem (Goodness, you must hate me LOL!) is the snake on the horses back... it looks a bit out of place...

"It looks like it's got strokes from being painted or something" It IS painted. You'll find it doesn't quite match the stock reference used. It's in Artist's Comments ^.^ The muzzle was being a mushroom, and I had trouble for it to look realistic and in keeping with the rest of the shadows on the horse.
The sky and the ocean. Really? *looks again* I thought it was in keeping wiht the horizen, and... yeah. Well, it looks fine from a distance to me at least. The clouds are over the horizon slightly, and considering I used 8 different sky stocks, well... it made the blend harder -smacks self-
The castle was a bit bright, but when the opactiy was lowered or contrast fiddled with again, it made the image look to flat with not enough contrast. You'll see how bright some clouds are, and the castle and snake were not as bright as that but lit enough so that it would look in keeping with the rest of the imadge Same with the snake. That and it made them not as visible.

Yeah.. sometimes you need more then one artist to take a peek at things... I think that if you moved the sky on top by a few pixels to the ocean, it may look different...

Ah. Now I see what you mean about the sky. It was perfect at one stage, but the whole image was too green, so adding purple duplicates of the clouds to add that tint and contrast layed onto the ocean, where it should have been a slight darkening of horizon it made it darker. And then inverting it gave a slight glow (whoops). I'm gonna call it some land. Yeah. That's what it is. Land. -looks around surrupticiously-

Dang, you put alot of work into it! You've got some serious patience
-but it all came out looking amazing~ I like how the horse seems to have a type of seaweed hair as if it came out of the water and the vines now wrapping itself around it
