       /four years earlier/  "Mom! What's this one called?" You cried as you pointed to a beautiful fountian.
  Your mother smiled and looked at it, "It's called, Fontana D'amore, or The Fountain of Love.  Legend has it, if you throw a coin in the fountain and wish for love, it will come true."
  You smiled and reached into your purse and pulled out a coin.  Grasping the coin in your right hand you squeezed your eyes shut and tossed it with all your might and watched as it splashed into the fountian with a /plunk!/  You were sixteen and in love with the idea of falling in love.

      /present day: Rome, Italy/  You had thought that this day would be the best day of your life.   But here you were, running bare-footed through the chapel as your family and friends stood agape at your would-be groom.  The cheating low-life had just ruined everything.  As you passed the table filled with food you jerked a bottle of champane off the table and sprinted crying into the streets of Rome.   You stopped infront of the Fontana D'amore and sat down on the edge.  With a shuddering sob, you gulped a mouthful of the alcohol.  It burned down your throat and puddled in a warm pool in your stomach.  You stared at the statue on top of the Fountian.
"Love, huh?  Love is nothing.  Love? Love is stupid!  If love were real, that...that....stupid....URGAH!!!!!!"
  You couldn't even bring yourself to say his name again.  You thought he loved you.  He said so himself.  Apparently that was a lie.  You took another swig of champane.
  "S-stupid...c-cra-cazy l-lov-love!!!!" you shouted with a laugh.
  You stood up and took your purse into your hands and laughed.
"Th-there's no such thing as love!" Laughing you unzipped your purse and empied all of the coins into the fountian.  With another laugh you launched yourself into the icy water and twirled around.   Still laughing you finished off the bottle and sat down in the water.
"Ehi tu! Non è una buona idea! Uscire da lì adesso! Sarai nei guai!"
You look up to see a young man with dark brown hair and eyes running towards you.  It seems he didn't like the idea of you sitting in the fountain.  So to intruge him more, you stuck out your tounge and layed down in the water.   You close your eyes and think, "Hey, this isn't so bad, it's quiet down here, so quiet and peaceful..."  Suddenly a pair of hands are pulling you from your reverie and shaking you visiouly.
"H-hey!  St-stop it!" you shout angrily.  The man looked at you.  Such pretty brown eyes, but they were anxious.
"A-amore? Stai bene? ..... Feliciano! Vieni qui adesso!"
You look around in confusion as another man joins you.  He looked more carefree with his aburn hair and happy brown eyes.
"Sì, il fratello? Oh! È una bambina! Ma lei sembra tipo di ubriaco ... E perché lei è la Fontana?"  He looked at you in confusion.
The other brunette glares at him and picks you up, ""Nevermind che, Feli! Solo aiutarlo ad ottenere la sua casa prima che la polizia il suo arresto!"
"H-hey!! Put me down!" You shout drunkenly.
The red-head nodded, "S-sì, fratello!"
The brunette holding you began to jog towards a small house, to you, it looked like a resturant.  The younger boy was cleaning up the mess you made.  As soon as you reached the house, head throbbing, you fell asleep.
/Romano/
   Oi, what a mess!  How can one girl do so much damage?! Romano cried as he cleaned up the girls' mess.   Feliciano wearily picked up another bottle.
"It-a seems that she-a drank a whole cabinet!"  He said.
Romano agreed, poor girl.  She had been wearing a white dress, that looked like a wedding gown.  Her make-up was running down her face as if she'd been crying.   /Broken dreams, I'd bet the bastardo cheated on her./  He sighed and picked up the last bottle.
"That's it Feli! Let's get home and see if she's awake."
The two  picked up their burdens and trudged inside.  Morning light spewed from the windows of the small diner.  After disposing the bottles, Romano walked up stairs to see the girl still asleep on the bed.  She was wrapped in a robe and her hair was in a towel.  Her ruined gown hung over a chair.   He sighed and leaned over her, and shook her shoulder gently.

   "Hhhhhhhh, mmmmmmmmm, m-morning....." you muttered softly.  Groggily you opend your eyes and blinked against the peircing light.   You had no clue where you were.  Or who the man who'd woken you up, was.   Screaming you jumped out of bed and almost fell on your face.
"B-Bell, calm-a down!  Your-a safe with-a me!"  You stopped and looked up at him,your head throbbing.
"W-who are you?"  you asked weairly.
"My names-a Lovino Vargas.  I saw-a you in-a the Fountian.  That's-a not a good idea to do that, you-a know."
Nodding, you stood up and re-gained your balance, "Y-yeah, uhm, about that...sorry, I didn't know....My life was kinda ruined last night, so yeah..."
Compasion filled Lovino's eyes and he pulled you into a hug, "Shh, Bella, E 'ok ora, io non lascerò nulla di male..."
You looked up at him confusion, "I-I's sorry, but I don't speak Italian..."
He pulled out of the hug and stammered while turning bright red, "T-that's-a good!"
He looked at you and asked quickly, "A-anyways, what's-a your name?!"
"______ _______" you stated softly.  You kinda liked this guy.  He was funny, and kind, and sweet.  And even though you'd just met him, you felt something more than friendship.
