Description I think a LOT of us, especially those with female Inquisitors, found ourselves only a touch disappointed that we didn’t get the opportunity to dress up nice and pretty for that damn Winter Palace ordeal. Sure the Inquisition uniforms look comfortable enough, sharp, organized, and they send a message of professionalism, discipline, and military strength (fashion can be quite political), but I feel like a more individual approach for the Inquisitor herself could have been fun too.

Basing a dress directly on Qunari culture would probably not be especially easy. And probably not something Lady Adaar would be all that into anyway, since she's Vashoth. So instead there's a touch of "dragon" in there and armor to portray power while still being all about grace and beauty. ^_^

Oh this is perfect! I even love the purple it would have looked so good on my qunari mage.

Completely agree, when I found out we were going to a ball I wondered how a Qunari mage would dress...Oh.  Like the rest of the Inquisition.  Ok then.

It's purely decorative, so why?

Niiiiice.

Though I must point out that party dresses are not made for climbing trellises (Which was stupid anyways because that's an area FULL of guests. Ugh. And you're in BRIGHT RED! Double ugh!)

I like all the others, but she's definitely my favorite. Her dress is lovely. It's simple and elegant, not needing fancy odds and ends to be aesthetically pleasing. And the armor bits make it personal, fitting her well.
