Backstory:
Spade was the child of a Card level member of the Kingdom of Ace, another universe. Her father was a knight under Queen Red, and was trained to use her abilities at an early age. However, an arguement between her and Lucius White got out of hand, and another Card was killed in the incident. As punishment, Spade was exiled (which she blames Lucius for, since he was the one who actually killed the man). She joined the Lost Ones, a band of Mercenaries led by Jack Hatter. For three years she roamed with her fellow exiles and defectors until a ripple effect from Mobius ripped her to the other world.

There she met Dr Eggman, who promised to help her and pay her for her services. Spade agreed, not fully understanding the man's motives. (Not like she really cared) During her time under Eggman, she made enemies of G.U.N and the Freedom Fighters. As time went on, she began to auestion exactly what Eggman wanted. Upon investigation, Spade realized he wanted to recreate her abilities. In anger, she attacked him and fled.

After going rouge, she runs into Sonic again. The two are accidentally trapped in old ruins and are forced to cooperate. After hearing her tale, Sonic desides to trust her and after her escape, promises to help her find a way home. Sonic mentions this to Shadow when the two met up later, and she was temporarily recruited into G.U.N.
