It was a cool, starry night, and Cody couldn't resist the urge to venture into his twin brother Caden's room. Usually, he would be met with annoyance and promptly kicked out, but tonight felt different. As he entered the room, Caden looked up from his book and a smile spread across his face. "Hey, bro," Cody said, plopping down on the edge of Caden's bed. "Mind if I hang out here for a bit?" Caden chuckled and closed his book. "Surprisingly, I don't mind at all. Grab a pillow and get comfy." Cody grinned and hopped onto the bed, propping himself up against the headboard. He turned to face Caden, who was sitting cross-legged beside him. "You know," Cody started, his voice casual, "I kinda like this side of you, bro. Not the jerk you used to be to me." Caden rolled his eyes playfully. "Well, don't get used to it. I still have my moments." They both laughed, the tension between them long gone. Cody couldn't help but notice how gentle Caden's expression was tonight, his eyes filled with a warmth that he hadn't seen in a while.
