Really, the only ones whom I actually *like* in that so-called "family" are Jim/Alois, Luka and Hannah. Of course, Mrs Trancy is the only one who is completely guiltless.

I always thought Mrs Trancy killed her baby because it was the only way to keep it away from Mr Trancy. I feel this picture is only lacking the elderly kind hooker.

In my own headcanon, the real Alois Trancy was taken away by his nanny and guardian angel to protect him from his uncle and cousin. He grew up under the name "Tom" and had a normal life for fourteen years. His mother committed suicide at his loss and became a reaper. All this pretty much caused old Lord Trancy to become what we see in Jim's flashbacks in Season 2.
