Yeah, but all that was, was a partial shot of his face. I was hoping he'd get a cameo the same way his father did in the first anime

We'll see if the OAVs have anything to show us. Try wasn't really Sei's story though, so his presence would have been gratuitous if he didn't take a direct hand in things, and that would have in turn overshadowed Team Try Fighters. I was more disappointed in a lack of mention of Reiji & Aila, even if a pupil of sort made an appearance.

Technically Sei did take a direct hand in things. He made and sent spare parts for the Build Burning Gundam and sent them with China back to Japan. He may not have handed them over personally, but I'd still call that direct involvement.
I just think it would have been cool if Sei had showed up incognito like his dad did in one episode. That definitely would have made a great episode
