A bit of a late birthday pic for my good friend . Sorry ol' buddy. Hope you enjoy.He's been wanting to see how I would draw his Team Shinobi characters. And while I was indeed intent on drawing them all grouped together; I decided that as I edge closer to making comic works I wanted them to be involved in a real dangerous mission fighting a powerful foe.
In this case; the return of the sentient toaster entity known as RITA. Only she's discarded her metallic caprice and seems to be forming a new body thanks to a new consciousness. Part of an old idea I had (before my interest in TUFF waned immensely); I reimagined RITA as a slowly evolving entity gaining more sentience as she reentered the world thanks a mystical artifact that had her consciousness separate her old metallic body and start taking on a more defined form. In this case; something vaguely human but also vaguely mystical. I didn't want to reimagine her as simply another animal; I wanted her to become something more than that to a point of being unidentifiable and unexplained.
And now she has captured her main enemies; Dudley Puppy and Kitty Katswell; both of which are held prisoner in orange containers behind a giant screen shield she erected herself.
But Team Shinobi are trying to rescue the dynamic duo as best they can. RITA of course will have none of it. Using her powers; she deflects the team members and apparently immobilizes a few of them with electric force. Shaun Inu and Shizu Siam are unfortunately the poor souls who got zapped by her paralyzing lightning. Mackey Que meanwhile tries working on the sidelines as best he can to try and bring that shield down using his mechanical expertise. (Which we hope he knows what he's doing considering he's trying to debug it with a wrench and screwdriver. ;D)
The two warriors standing to face RITA are Hayai Bunny and Whitnee Squirrel. Hayai stands readied with her katana ready to join Whitnee; who is leaping towards the screen. With her fine ninjitsu; she will be able to break through that barrier; especially as Mackey does his best to weaken it.
We can only hope when reaching RITA; RITA isn't as powerful as she seems. Well she seems to be as she successfully captured Kitty and Dudley. The team's got their hands full that's for sure.

The idea of RITA coming back like that is actually really cool. The drawing itself is extremely well done. It can be tricky to draw so much on one frame. I especially like how Whitnee is drawn.

Come to think of it....the idea of RITA bring an ever evolving sentient intelligence sounds really similar to the idea behind Ultron.
Though I never did read the comics before the movie; I just figured it was a neat way to bring her back.
I'm learning more and more on how to fit so much in pieces. And yes; Whitnee looks cool as she is really cool.

I completely understand what you mean, and I'm sorry if I sounded a bit too judgmental about the picture you've done for me, especially since I was just trying to be honest while using as many words to describe my thoughts about your artwork instead of just having to use one-sentence comments like I always do. Even if the picture you've done wasn't as perfect as I hoped, I still loved it nonetheless because I tend to feel really good when other talented artists are able to draw my characters in their original style, which does help me feel motivated to help me continue drawing just knowing that my friends really do love what I'm capable of drawing all the time.

Sorry it took so long for me to check out this picture you've done as a late birthday gift for me (especially since I was also out doing some stuff this weekend for my birthday as well), but the picture turned out to be something really awesome that I totally did not expect after I asked you to draw a picture involving my Team Shinobi characters! I really liked the idea and concept you were going for in such a picture, which actually reminds me of something from the classic 1980s/1990s cartoon version of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", which would also become a huge inspiration for my Team Shinobi story ideas and scenarios that I plan on drawing soon enough. As for the characters featured in the picture, I think you did a really good job on them, although there are a couple of small things that need to be changed: Whitnee's nose is supposed to be pink and not black, and Shizu isn't supposed to have a diamond mark on her forehead because her face actually has a patch of dark gray fur that ends below her forehead. Other than that, this picture turned out really nice and awesome, and I appreciate you being able to draw something for my birthday nonetheless!

After going through a TUFF fest of episodes, it's interesting how RITA was the only significant female villainess, aside from Katty Katswell, to ever appear in the series. Both voiced by Grey DeLisle gives her excellent diversity for evil voices in the series. And yet, while Katty was pretty bad, there's a real malevolence about RITA. It's odd, considering she was originally programmed for a harmless function, only to gain sentience and then go power-hungry. Seeing this evolved form she's taken makes her all the more frightening and the species-less image gives her an air of mystery as to her sense of being. Regardless, this is the scariest female TUFF villain ever seen (although the Lady makes an intimidating character with those blood red eyes). Seeing Team Shinobi in action brings an interesting perspective, considering that Dudley and Kitty are the captive ones in this battle, since normally they're the ones to save the day. Here's to Whitnee and her friends finishing the job that TUFF most likely started.

RITA was truly the most evil of the female villainesses on TUFF...all three of them. ;D
It was her sentience and breaking free to serve her own purposes that made me want to take her further. And then giving her a species-less appearance added more to the mystery; at least that was what I was going for.
Lady M COULD potentially be scary if the Blood Moon was indeed part of the continuity. ;D My own continuity that is.
Yeah; but like most fans who write their teams...each team should be able to hold their own even without Dudley or Kitty. Hey; I just call it like I see it. ;D

Yeah, DEFINATELY looks cooler than her original form. In fact, I've seen a few pics of RITA being reborn as a pyrokinetic tigress, which really appealed to me. ^^
