oh wait one min
You know how X was a separate Cyber-Elf when his body was used to seal the Dark Elf, right?
And Zero sealed his copy body after the Elf Wars?
And "Zero" was revived using Ciel's Cyber Elf, Passy?
What if MMZ!Zero isn't the Zero we know, but Passy in Zero's body?
What if MMX!Zero decided to fly off to Cyberspace because he feels his duty is done?
MMZ!Zero being Passy in Zero's body also makes sense because:
> MMZ!Zero is painfully obedient and unquestioning towards Ciel
> Cyber Elf X doesn't even interact with Zero all that much aside from handing Zero his saber, giving us the feeling that he's not treating "Zero" like a friend
Because let's think about this...Cyber Elf X barely makes appearances, only as deus ex machina plot devices.
It's like Cyber Elf X had decided to act because of his sense of duty towards Neo Arcadia and the world in general, not because it's Zero.
Meanwhile, in MMZ1's ending when "Zero" recovers his memories, it's Passy having a low-key identity crisis, having mixed her(?) "self" with Zero's pre-existing memories still lingering in the physical electronic brain.

Oh, that's an interesting theory. =0 Though I think that would make sense if Passy lost her memory when she merged with him.
I mean, MMX!Zero doesn't seem the sort, really... honestly, MMZ-verse is just weird in general. I know X mentioned not caring about much anymore during the ending of Zero 1, but your theory would make sense...

Shinryuu-Uroborus In reply to Shreedle [2016-03-04 22:13:42 +0000 UTC]
thank u
This is where we disagree--I don't think Passy's memories went poof, it's more like it was overridden by Zero's memories, because it's what in the new body she inhabited.
I've applied this theory to Kali Yuga/Delta's timeline, so Delta still saved Passy/Zero, but instead of splitting MMZ!Zero, he simply returned Passy's self-awareness to her, because the real Zero's up there in Cyberspace with X. ouo

Either way yeah. Delta restored Passy's self-awareness to her, and returned her to Ciel. He intentionally let "her" helmet, and by extension her connection with Ciel be severed, so that her decisions won't be influenced by Ciel.

Shinryuu-Uroborus In reply to Shreedle [2016-03-08 18:34:12 +0000 UTC]
Thank you ;v;v;v;v;v;v;v;v; I read the review. I'm so happy. Anyways, TViYH will follow the plot of Command Mission from this point on, although I'm taking a break from it in favour of my other fic, Paint My Goodbye Red.
I was surprised too, at the lack of people thinking that Axl might be a Wilybot. Because it was Wily who developed shape-shifting robots first.
"Love the tie-ins to Command Mission, too, and how you explained how Lumine/Epsilon and Command Mission's Epsilon are the same person. I knew you had told me that, but seeing how it happened... Man, I can't wait to see more."
Thank you! ;v;v;v;v; I'm so happy. What do you think of the chapters where Delta and Epsilon split, and then their reunion in Lagrano?
Also, thanks for the info on "monyong". I appreciate it. eueb
"I suggest using italics when Delta and Epsilon are talking to each other inside their head, otherwise it gets a little confusing because right now, it looks like they're talking out loud when other people are near them."
Thanks for pointing it out! I suppose I should improve more from this. I tend to prefer relying on pure text, so I don't use any formatting as I write to force myself to develop my skills more. Looks like I know where to improve on.

You're welcome! <3 I'm glad you liked the review, and take all the time you need! I'll be here waiting when you update, because I absolutely loved Command Mission. Speaking of, I need to actually read that one...
I was surprised; I never see the theory going about, the most popular theory I've noticed is that Axl is a Cossackbot (I can see why people think that, because Cossack is the only one of the "big three" that doesn't have a Reploid, but still...)
I enjoyed those chapters! We got to see how Epsilon got to know the others, and the reunion in Lagrano was something I had been looking forward to. Now I can't wait to see what happens later, given what happens in the canon game...
No problem!
//nodnod I understand preferring pure text, and ultimately, its up to you. But it was just something I wanted to point out. Maybe go back and edit it in after you finish writing the chapter, so you don't worry as you write?

Shinryuu-Uroborus In reply to Shreedle [2016-05-17 14:38:43 +0000 UTC]
Thanks again for the review ;v;v;v;v;v;v;
I just updated with Chapter 37, and with PMGR finished, I'll focus more on The Voice in Your Heart before I start anything new. I'm sorely tempted to start Megaman XPosition because I'm seeing scenes, but I won't do it until TViYH is finished.
I need to read your Megaman fics too...
Yeah, the Cossackbot/Russian Axl theory remains the most popular to this day, and the reason you stated still holds true to this day. But, yeah, but still, Wily's the one who actually created a copy robot, so for me, it's only right that Axl is a Wilybot.
Damn, reminds me of my own old theory that Axl was created by Gate, just based on the tinfoil-y observations that little aspects of him resemble High Max.
Thank you ;v;v;v;v;v; well, there's a lot that happens later, and Delta recently informed me who Shadow really is, too. What you see in the game remains, but there's more outside of what you see...
I think I should refine it a bit more. I did consider trying using bold and italics in-fic (Like, in the prose itself, not just in the Author's Notes), but in the end I didn't find it to be my style. I choose to write using pure words, with no formatting.
But I guess, with all styles, it has a setback, which you had pointed out--it relies on the readers, on occasion, to deduce a few things for themselves (For example, pre-Chapter 24, dialogue between Delta and Epsilon are always mental. But after Chapter 24, it no longer applies because they no longer share a body).

Shreedle In reply to Shinryuu-Uroborus [2016-05-22 00:14:18 +0000 UTC]
You're welcome~.
I read it! I need to actually go and read PMGR, I don't think I've read it yet. And hey, if you're seeing the scenes, maybe go ahead and write down summaries/outlines so that when you do finish TViYH and get to work on it, you wouldn't have forgotten them.
Yeah, I saw a few RPers back when I was RPing that went by that headcanon. It never clicked with me, though. I thought of him more like Copy Robot, like we've been talking about, so a connection to Wily made the most sense. And really? O.o I was running with the "Gate created him" theory for Red!Axl myself.
Oooooh, I see. Ah, I can wait to see~. I know Command Mission inside-out, so it'll be your chapters with Delta and stuff that I'm really going to be looking forward to.
Yeah, now that they're separated, it's a moot point and not necessary. I'm not a fan of bold myself, but I don't mind italics when they're used sparingly for thoughts.
π: 0 β©: 1
Shinryuu-Uroborus In reply to Shreedle [2016-06-05 18:38:12 +0000 UTC]
You have a point about writing the scenes, but I always wait until it's time to write it. I mean, like, when I'm not occupied with other things/mentally unfit for writing, I don't write it, and the scene will improve and change as time passes.
It doesn't mean I always wait for the very final draft, that's just begging for a story that'll never be finished. But until it's time to write, I let the scenes brew in my head like wine.
But I do have a physical book where I put some of my drafts...I should come back to it and improve MMXP. Thank you! 8D
oh my LORD can you tell me about how you implemented Gate!Axl for "Red"? I always thought that, looking at it from "an old theory of mine" perspective, I was just being a newb because now that I have learned of the Copy Robot, I am a firm believer in Wilybot!Axl. I never thought that it can be grasped from another viewpoint, and I want to know.
I really need to move forward with TViYH. +v+ hue Hue HUE.
I agree. I don't like bold, either. eue

Shreedle In reply to Shinryuu-Uroborus [2016-06-06 03:04:30 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I can see why you do that. I've done it more often than I would care to admit. Like with my latest fic... I just know that Vent is going to fight Prometheus and Pandora. I haven't decided anything else for later chapters at all. |D
Oh god, never try to get a final final draft, because you'll never post it that way. I've written snippets of Xav's story, and... well, it doesn't resemble a darn thing that it used to, so it's brewed in my head for quite awhile.
Haha, you're welcome!
Well... in that verse, Zero commissioned a not-insane Gate to build him some Reploids to use as generals, and Gate had his own little project -- Axl, whom he had based off of the Copy Robot (so there's the connection). Then he had Gate killed and Red ended up with Axl. (Shockingly, I'd never met anyone else that wasn't comparing Axl to Copy Robot. I was surprised.)
Yeeeeah, bold is... too bold. XD

How do you think it will go based on what the characters would do next?
And indeed, I came up with another twist as I was writing TViYH ch37! omfg...
Wow, you should really have somewhere where you can stash a majority of the Tartarus AU. For example, for Kali Yuga, a big chunk of it is in Bris's description, another chunk had become TViYH...

Well, I know for a fact Vent will get into a fight with Prometheus and Pandora. And I know that eventually he'll meet up with Ashe (who has a different Biometal as well because this is, like I said, the Aile/Grey timeline).
Haha! XD Random twists are the best sometimes.
I need to. >< If I doodle other characters from Tartarus, like Ciel, Alia, Red, Zero, or his generals, I might be able to stick their portions of the story in the summaries, so that'd be one place...

i wanna noe but i dun wanna push u into spoilin
u can do it! >V< maybe you can sprite them, then doodle them? Phoenix was drawn via that process anyways.
alright then. I can do it for you.
How did Redips get rich enough to fund the SFM experiments even before he was Colonel? It's because he was the one who supplied Spider and Aile with their weapons, and he gets a cut of what they're making.
*To me, "bounty hunters" like Red Alert are assassins-for-hire. If all they do is kill mavericks, they wouldn't be illegal, they would be friggin' recruited by the Hunters because they do such a good job without gov't support! Much like how Google hired the CEO of 4chan...
The accident that paralyzed Aile was set up by Redips himself, but he failed to eliminate them. He wanted to eliminate them because they are the proof of his illicit connections with wanted criminals and he made this out, to the Hunters, to be him "attempting to rid the world of scum like them", and that's why he got promoted in the first place.
His reputation was why the Hunters granted him his request of leading the Giga City mission--the Hunters "can" trust him to be someone determined to establish world order, so he was "the perfect person" for Giga City, the only major location without a Maverick Hunters branch...π: 0 β©: 1

Well, I outlined the sequel's first chapter, which is pretty much her finding her Biometal, so... if I ever get around to posting that, you'll see~.
Hm, that's a thought~. Sprites are good for color references, doodles are good for general references.
Ohhh, I see! Mercs/bounty hunters/whatever you want to call them. Basically hired guns that are paid to kill people and that's it.
And given things about Redips, it's not surprising that he would try to pull something like this.

Alright! OuO so even if you don't upload it (for fear of thieves), you can always show me in Sta.sh and keep yourself from getting rusty.
Thank you ;;;;v;;;;
And I think I'm telling you, since you won't tattle off or reference it somewhere.
Epsilon's maverick sentence was deferred, right? Means it was postponed.
Well, by the time they had determined his sentence, Epsilon was declared maverick anyways.
Why? Because even without Redips's intervention, he had evicted Giga City citizens out of their homes for so long, and his acts of terrorism was still terrorism, even if he did it because the whole Liberion/Rebellion Army was threatened by possible retirement.
This declaration was given after Delta fought so hard and gave the gov't all the documents that proved that Redips was the one who masterminded the whole thing, and after he witnessed that the Liberion/Rebellion Army rebelled in the first place because Epsilon overheard Gaudile and Tezuka agreeing on retiring all of them.
Even to me, it is justice. Imagine if the people who made your home a battlefield after evicting you away from it were not declared criminals, even if they were killed in action. Would you be content? Of course not. So Epsilon being declared maverick was justice.Β
But Delta couldn't accept it. He broke. And that was why he started to hate and curse the world. After this, he threw away his regard for the lives of others, unable to not hate the society that rejoiced over Epsilon being declared Maverick and called it justice.
To be frank, though, Delta did something really, really wrong, and even if he is the protagonist and viewpoint character, I condemn his response. I don't condemn his reaction and him being upset, but I do condemn his decision of disposing of his regard of other people's lives.
Epsilon made him take it back much later when they reunite, though, so by the time Megaman: Overlord happened, Delta had already gotten himself a semblance of regard for others' lives, although his cruelty stayed.

I'm less worried about thieves and more that I wanted to finish the first story first before I start posting the second one. xD And alright! I'll grab it from my work computer tomorrow (I have two jobs, and I'm going to that one tomorrow).
Aaaah, I see... that makes sense. A lot of people were hurt and killed and even if not that, they lost their entire livelihoods. Not declaring him Maverick would have stirred unrest.
Poor Delta... I don't blame him for being upset either, but we can't just let it go.
π: 0 β©: 1
Shinryuu-Uroborus In reply to Shreedle [2016-06-15 07:11:07 +0000 UTC]
No, I mean, I was referring to your sprites. I did suggest that you sprite the other characters of the Tartarus AU to get an image of them and so that your spriting skills won't get rusty. You told me once that you never upload your sprites anymore for fear of thieves. So because of that, you can just Sta.sh them and show them to me.
I know, right? When I do write that chapter, I will tear everybody apart. Not only was Epsilon declared Maverick, everyone has to accept that it was for the best, and also if they were a Giga City citizen, they'd rejoice over that posthumous Maverick re-declaration.
Life is not just about the people we care about. It's also about the many people we don't.
And that's why I and Delta outright say that Delta is not a good person.
Well, okay. He's a good person if you're good to him, but he won't go out of his way to help people he doesn't care about.
He is quite selfish, and he can justify why he decides not to be altruistic, and it's hard to blame him since everyone is self-serving to some degree and all his life he's been toyed with by other people. The few people who do not toy with him left him alone.
So he feels that the world has been toying with him all his life, and that's why he doesn't want to bend to it and serve it. He won't budge when someone calls him a devil or a selfish asshole--he'll just say "I've known that for a long time. So?" and mean it.

Shreedle In reply to Shinryuu-Uroborus [2016-06-20 00:12:46 +0000 UTC]
Let's see... it'd still be geared more towards his MMX-design than the MMZ-design, but slimmed down and not entirely dissimilar to Alia's 'style' of clothing. This Zero has purple eyes (due to Omega's red and Zero's normal blue mixing).
As for Red!Axl, he lacks the scar on his face, has redder hair, and blue eyes (which is a nod to his concept art). His helmet looks similar to the one in his concept art (vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/m⦠, leftmost bottom image), and the rest of his armor is in the 'new' pseudo-MMZ/MMX style. (Fun fact: he almost always uses a disguise. Only Phoenix, Ciel, and Alia have seen his true form.)
Oh, and he's got Red's scythe.

Well, I know I would be fleshing Shadow out a bit more. But I only expected to reveal him as the guy whom Redips had originally assigned to spy on the Rebellion/Liberion from the inside. But I never thought I'd flesh him out THIS much.
What do you think of his new backstory and the expansion of his true motivations?
i know, right?
when i realised MMXCM's theme song and its lyrics: www.starwing.co.uk/downloads/rβ¦
you just read that and try to tell me it's not in either delta or epsilon's perspective (esp. delta) directed at the other.

Well, sometimes the fleshing out just happens. I didn't originally have Red or Nereida be a thing when I firstΒ thought up Tartarus. But then they just happened and it made it better so I'm happy now. And it certainly fits him! It's nice to see more of a motive for him.

You're right...who knows what kind of development will be in store for our timelines.
What about the other navigators? Where do you think they are now?
Why do you think Shadow's more fleshed-out background is good and suitable, and not contrived?
That's the reason for his breakdown.
"If loving you is wrong, then I don't want to be right" played realistically instead of in an "oh, it's the right thing to do anyways, society is just WROOONG" way.

I haven't considered much with the other Navigators, though I know a lot of the Reploids from Command Mission never existed. I just know they won't be like their canon counterparts since they were never Hunters in the first place. Though, maybe I'll think something up for them. x3

Maybe they continue to become navigators?
Instead of the pair of navigators in MMZ that, let's face it, we barely care much about, we can just slot Layer and Pallette in their place.
I know it does, but there are bad explanations that you wish wasn't there in the first place, and there are good explanations that actually enrich the character.
If you believe that my explanation on Shadow is in the latter, I want to know how it ends up as the latter and not the former. eue
which part are you kjdshfkjshdjkfd ing about exactly? eue
Delta's decision, or the other part where I described the cliche version of his sentiment?
π: 0 β©: 1
Shreedle In reply to Shinryuu-Uroborus [2016-07-24 16:39:03 +0000 UTC]
Hmm... maybe. I'll have to think about it, but it is an idea of what to do with unused MMX characters. I also have to consider the possibility that because of how the timeline turned out, they don't actually exist.
Bad explanations usually have the character constantly talking about it to other people, especially to justify it or why other characters should feel sorry for them. Shadow does neither of that.
Delta's decision.
