hahaha ... can't agree more with your statement "actually had a female lead that i can half way stomach". Another reason I love this anime is the depth and character development.

And this anime is a whole lot more than just Shurei ... they are a bunch of people that I really like ... nice people, you know. I especially like Shoka and Reishin. And I like that Ryuki is childish and fun-loving, mature and kingly, sad and lonely ... makes him so real. In fact, the character I like the least is Shurei!!

ryuki shi from the anime the story of saiunkoku.. i had never heard of it till i was browsing through an anime website and saw a hot guy on the gallery cover (naturally i looked) got curious and i'm actually watching the anime right now.. it's pretty cute.
