I really like the spatial composition of the room, especially that the presence of walls doesn't mean complete solidity. Natural and artificial lighting also work together very well, although I personally wouldn't consider having the artificial lights on during the daytime (unless the weather demanded it). Then again, that's just me.

Very nice work, and even more amazing that it was with markers! Terrific job on detailing the materials.

im very glad you can get the whole things right
i wouldn't want to use the artificial lighting in a daytime either. it's just to show how it works when it's on
not as gd as in the evening tough, but you'll get how it works
no worries bout it.

and thank you for liking^^

I'm a very big fan of natural light. I live in a house where the windows are small and curtains cover every one of them. It is so dark and depressing, it leaves me unmotivated and stagnant. I understand the issue of privacy, but I believe the desire for privacy -- meaning solid walls and curtain-covered windows -- consequently makes humans more lethargic and prone to physical and mental ills. Alvar Alto proved how beneficial it was through his work on the Tuberculosis Sanitarium in Finland, where the design actually improved the health of the patients.

natural light is healthy too.you should open more windows.sunlight is both dramatic and healthy somehow.
but too many window light might be a lil hot in summer ^^
ventilation gives the most benefits for windows anyway

You can actually remedy the temperature issue by setting HVAC vents underneath the window. That will prevent heat/cold from piercing through the class.

yes.but i think HVAC systems is more common for large spaces than houses.but still, it's a good way too
in indonesia we use a more traditional way.

We actually have HVAC in nearly every building type in the United States. You can say that we're "pampered" or "spoiled", but we now have codes that include HVAC.

How do you ventilate your home in Indonesia? What is your climate like there?

okay..i get it.in the United States you have 4 seasons.that includes everything i guess.
HVAC makes it easy for all seasons.

the humidity here is pretty high.only 2 climates.dry and rain season all the year.
well, we build more ventilation over the window or just ordinary opening on the ceiling(usually pretty spacious)
with a kind of gauze on it to prevent mosquito (a lot of em here!)or with lattice grid, can be made of wood, metal,or glass
something weatherproof.

California and Florida are pretty similar.

If you want to see some California architecture, check out the Schindler House in my gallery. He was heavily influenced by Asian architecture, similar to his mentor, Frank Lloyd Wright.
